  1. Im with Plusnet, and do around 2TB of traffic, at least, every month and never get throttled.
  2. ALmost certainly its the TG582N. That router is awful, never liked it when I worked at Plusnet as its a cheap option for a provider and has so few features its laughable. I would suggest getting a better router from a company like TP-Link, Asus, or even Netgear. All will provide better options and if you buy the right one, even give you the 5Ghz band that will allow your WiFi card supports.
  3. NOt a bad Graphics workstation, would be an utter dgo in games though. Those Xeons are awful gaming chips.
  4. Looked like a collision between the two, and the Truck./Van head on into a tree on the edge of Graves Park. Was on the X17 that arrived only about 8am. Was chaos.
  5. It could also be down to the equipment in the exchange, it is likely that your move to EE took you off the BT Wholesale network on onto EEs LLU network. THis means you're not connected to any outdated equipment and have the newer equipment that EE were allowed to install when the exchange was deregulated. Its all very complicated and messy when you get into the exchange side of equipment etc. (ANd in EX Plusnet. )
  6. Surely the simple answer to this is... VERY....
  7. Awesome deal. Links is a bit broken though, seems to have a mobile version of the web link trying to load. http://www.tesco.com/direct/hgst-touro-mobile-1-tb-external-hard-drive/563-8091.prd?pageLevel=sku&skuId=212-7032
  8. If your games are legitimate, just install them to your new computer. Using ANY of the Keygen programs is dodgy as they generate non legitimate keys and if you try and use any of the online features of the Sims programs you will likely get your copy barred.
  9. Have you tied, if possible, connecting the device with an Ethernet cable and testing the speeds then? This would at least tell you if its the speed to your Router, or the speed over your WiFi that's being crippled. I would suspect that its WiFi, and there are LOTS of things that could cause the issues. Mainly interference or a broken adapter.
  10. As time goes on, there will be more and more Linux native games, the only one that need streaming will be Windows/Mac native games right now. I am going to give it a try on my Raspberry Pi, LOL . See if I can actually find something that little marvel cant do.
  11. You are quite right, the only issue will be when another "hole" in XPs armour is uncovered and Microsoft do nothing about it and the PC becomes another bot-net slave without the owner knowledge. The only thing that's happening, its not going to spontaneously combust or anything, is Microsoft are no longer going to patch the colander that is XP security issues...
  12. It also allows you to "stream" your games from your main rig to a lesser powered unit connected to your TV. And the version thats available is a Beta version, so not the final "Consumer" copy that will eventually ship with Steam Machines.
  13. The other side of "giving Up" your landline, is that should you later decide it was a bad idea, if the line is disconnected rather than simply ceased, you will step into the hell that is re-connection fees with whichever provider you pick.
  14. The OS hasn't been released yet afaik.. So, apart from the few lucky people who have the Pre Release Beta kit, no one outside Valve has seen it.
