Hi everyone I have been given the task of arranging the Christmas Function this year at work and was wondering if anyone could recommend a venue? We are wanting a buffet or Canapes - but something really good quality, a private room for about 60 people? Thanks!

Yeah...! Me and all my friends are definately off to Embrace on Friday for that...I heard Callum Best is going to be there too - Cant wait!!!! x

Crystal has a really nice outside area with a bar outside during the summer months. Went to a birthday party last year, where they had arranged to hire part of the outside area. They had a really nice BBQ, with loads of variety of food and a drinks reception when we arrived! Give them a call & see if they are doing anything like that this year.

Got invited through work to look around Embrace with my boss yesterday - and I was really impressed!! Looks nothing like Kingdom used to...! All the rooms look really different - there is a roof top japanese themed room which is going to be playing indie - which i think will be my room of choice! While we were there they were installing the biggest mirror ball I have ever seen in the dance room - It looked amazing!! Cant wait for Embrace to open!!

Hope so!!! That will be great - Cant wait until I can go out and not stink of smoke after an hour!! Not to mention the drunken people who carelessly stumble about with a fag in their hand and manage to singe your brand new clothes!!! Nice one Embrace!!! x:thumbsup:

I'm not sure what real Ale it does but they do great food at lunch times and a really good Sunday Lunch. There is a new manager in there now, and I think he's from a restaurant background - so probably explains why the food is good!!

I heard that Kingdom's last night will be NYE, this should be a good night! Even tho Kingdom is a bit run down now, it was once the best club in Sheffield and in its day it provided a great night for a lot of us!!

Well, my friends & I had a meal earlier this week and I had the Smoked Haddock Lasagne (absolutely amazing!), and the Crispy Oriental duck salad for a starter, which was also very good. I have also sampled the braised lamb shank and the chateau-briand which are both fantastic, and firm favourites with our customers!! The new menu will be on our website today!!

I think you are refering to one of the managers there, believe it or not they have to get their hands dirty too! Kingdom may be run down and old, but it is in its 6th year and i think that its great to see that the management team are doing their bit too!!... and no I dont work there!
