  1. Any advances on this? Need one for Saturday ideally from Sheff city centre. Division Street?
  2. Excuse the spelling. Said dog been missing tonight from opposite The Venue. Light brown colour. Pm if know anything. Thanks. ---------- Post added 08-05-2016 at 09:58 ---------- Now found. Thanks to whoever found him and took him to a vets in Barnsley. That was a long, sleepless night!
  3. Am I right in thinking that since Handsworth FC merged with Worskop Parramore to become Handsworth Parramore they are currently playing their games at Sandy Lane in Worksop and not at Oliver's Mount?
  4. Thanks. I only work 5 mins away...I'll have a stroll later on.
  5. Is there anywhere in the city centre that does this? There was a place on Chapel Walk but I can't say I've noticed it of late...is it still there? Or anywhere else for that matter.
  6. The River Don, or any of the Sheffield rivers for that matter.
  7. I'm not one to 'bump' a thread and I don't come on here much but I am genuinely interested to know what the chaps who looked to be setting up a nationalist stall as such were doing and how the lefties about reacted. Sadly I had to go back to work. It looked like it would be good sport!
  8. I was in that there London watching my football team last season and I was pretty well served after the game. I got on what I thought was the train to Sheffield but ended up in Shenfield in Essex. Taxi back to London. No more trains to Sheffield so caught the last one to Donny. Then a taxi from Donny to Sheffield. One of my more expensive away day jaunts.
  9. I'm a proud Northumbrian living in Sheffield. You will enjoy it as well as the rest of the coastline. Just do a bit of research, there are many places to visit around there: Berwick upon Tweed, Alnwick, Bamburgh, Amble. The mistake most people make when visiting Northumberland is that they stick to the coastline. Do a bit of research and venture inland a bit and you will find some stunning places. I plan to retire back in Northumberland when I finish working (a long way off yet). Oh aye, also, if you get the train up there the views once you get past Newcastle are pretty impressive.

  11. Does the flagsman just fly flags of countries? I am particularly fond of the Northumbrian flag. I think it is thought to be the oldest flag known to man. I would be chuffed if I seen that flying in Sheffield.
  12. The score line is embarrassing though, isn’t it? Alfreton won a weak league last year. I doubt they would even push for the play offs in they were still in the CN this upcoming season. What you need to remember though is that non league teams are made up of players who just haven’t quite made the grade higher up the leagues. Pretty much like what will happen to all those turning out for Wednesday against Alfreton in this game. At best they may get a semi pro contract, most will jack football in altogether apart from amateur Saturday/Sunday leagues.
  13. ...at a Blyth Spartans v Partick Thistle pre-season game. I missed the game as I was on a stag night. As a Blyth fan living in Handsworth I'm intrigued. Anyone know anything about it?
  14. We won the replay 4-0 tonight. Get in. Cheats do not prosper. Howay Blyth!
  15. My team (Blyth Spartans) play in the Conference North. We played Droysled in the FA Trophy on Saturday to go through to the 1/4 finals. That would leave us just 2 wins from Wembley. Have a look at this: Ref was on the edge of the box, liner was on this side of the pitch. Both waved play on. The lad who handled then went to score the equaliser. Replay tonight. I have to work until 9 and too short notice to cover, so gutted I couldn't go. Those 2 officials shouldn't be allowed to oversee a kids 5-a-side match.
