  1. Sorry to hear that he was yours Spider Ham Been feeling awful since I saw him, really shook me up and was worried that someone would be looking for him. So sorry for your loss X
  2. Was just about to report this too. Tried calling Council/Vets/Cat Protection etc but everywhere is closed
  3. I think the reason there's usually more than one junkie at the chemist at once is because they have to get there at a certain time? I think they just dispense all the methadone at once either in the morning or evening and the addicts have to get there at that time or get nothing until later in the day. Probably because the prescription needs to be regulated and if someone needs more than one dose in a day it will need to be administered at a rigid time rather than risking them taking the next dose too soon and possibly overdosing or leaving it too long and they start rattling? I might be wrong though, I'm not personally a junkie. It may be inconvenient or intimidating for a couple of customers but if they all went to get their dose at different times throughout the day it would be unpleasant for more people surely? And it means the pharmacy can get them out of there quickly and get on with serving the rest of the public Just a thought anyway...
  4. Just a heads up to Walkley folk, my house was broken into yesterday lunchtime (just off South Rd), they ragged open the kitchen window and nicked consoles, laptop etc. The neighbours assumed the noise was builders so if you hear anything unusual please look out for your neighbours and check it out
  5. As others have said, just go round and have a polite word with them - you could ask them to maybe do it in a different area of the house or open a window, I'm sure you can resolve the issue amicably and without the stress of involving the police or council. I hope you manage to come to an agreement with them
  6. I imagine Forbidden Planet in town will have some spiderman figures, otherwise Atkinsons has a pretty good toy section that might be worth a try. Good luck!
  7. Surely if you're signed up to pay by Direct Debit you can just log in and check your bill whenever - I found them a bit slack to sort out our final bills but we knew that we needed to keep an eye on the online account so had no surprises. If you don't pay your bill online when you get it (the bill is via email) I imagine they will just take the extra money anyway......... always read the terms and conditions
  8. I've bought frozen ones from the Chinese supermarket near Plug in town
  9. Totally agree, Broomhill needs cleaning up. Didn't like it when I worked there, I still have to travel through every day though and I find it pretty depressing. The older guy that always wears shades can be fairly nasty but at least he doesn't beg. Not seen the 'homeless' guy for a while (who I've heard has a house and is rather ungrateful if you offer him food for the dog) .... the black guy is really starting to get to me, took him a few weeks of asking me twice a day until he stopped, then as soon as I wore a different coat and hat out he asked me for 20p again. Sometimes 20p, sometimes 40p. I'm happy to help anyone in actual need and willing to help themselves, I just don't agree with begging for a living - especially when it's only going towards the next special brew and they're causing a nuisance
  10. I recommend the Crispy Pork Rice Also Crispy Deep Fried Soft Shell Crab if you're eating in (goes a bit soggy on takeaway)
  11. Thanks for the reply, reckon i'll be visiting soon
  12. Is a scale and polish included with a regular checkup? Sick of my dentist a bit futher up the hill charging me nearly £50 and making me come back to have it done by a hygenist when it used to be included in the check up price of around £17 .... not very impressed with their general attitude either. Had the same dentist since childhood so changing is a fairly big thing but sick of feeling ripped off!
  13. Went to this today and had a lovely time Can't have a cat in rented home so was really nice to go and fuss some kitties, looking forward to the next one!!
  14. I'd reccommen Fanoush on London Road, proper tasty and probably cheaper than making your own .... tried falafel mix out of a packet and really didn't enjoy it
