  1. I love aliexpress... spent waaaay to much money on there ( at leat 100 orders) but always do you due diligence. Had a 100% delivery success and with one order that I had an issue with, (cpu cooler with a 3 pin fan instead of a 4 pin) was refunded to the amount of a new fan within hours of submitting. Only negative is delivery time. Dont expect it to arrive in a week... For me in Australia its average between 2- 4 weeks. A little hint. Go browsing and add stuff to your cart but dont buy it. You get notification when its on sale and you can get a better price on it. ( aliexpress is ALWAYS having sales run) sometimes I have stuff sat in my cart for months and usually end up with a 30% off sale at some point!
  2. Agree and disagree with some of the above. 2204's on a 250 frame would be better suited rather than 1806 and the battery wants to be smaller Mah and 4cell such as 1300mah 4s 45c. 2200mah 3s 25c is not enough and too heavy, especially with 1806 motors. Once you get the hang of it you will be wanting to draw more than it can provide. You will also need to go to 20a esc such as the littlebees if you go 2204's and 4s. The joys of quads.... there are limitless combinations!
  3. Avoid the Walkera 250...... has alot of issues apparently I started with an Emax nighthawk 280 rtf. Buy some eachine 007 goggles, a few 2200mah 3s 65c batteries and a charger. $500aud or about 400gbp should get you in the air..... (RTF = Ready To Fly, Just add batteries. ARF = Almost Ready To Fly, you need your own transmitter and receiver) Then after the first week it gets expensive and addictive! Have a browse around http://www.banggood.com and http://www.hobbyking.com for an idea on prices. Mooch around the forums for FPV and quads in general . These rcgroup forums are a wealth of knowledge and information regarding issues and products. Personally I have spent around $1800aud so far on everything that I need.
  4. I may or may not be addicted to this hobby.... Altho I am not in sheffield I make sure I fly when I can over here! My 280 and 280 with my taranis and fatshark Dom V3's and one I finished last night... my 180 I dread to think how much I have spent in 3 months...
  5. It still amazes me that 'squatters' arent charged for breaking and entering. A good gesture i suppose but it Will be interesting to see how they go when they need to remove them.
  6. for me fun is the most important. I drive a highly modified 5.4l supercharged V8 Ute that has had waaay to much money spent on it. It broke down alot through the build process, is terrible on fuel, with 500rwhp, tries to kill you at the first sign of rain.... but man does it make me smile when I drive it and the blower comes on song! To me a car is more than a mode of transport. Its a reflection of me, my passion for it and ultimately the enjoyment I get out of what I have built. have a picture to see what I am talking about.
  7. In modern cars this isnt a worry anymore as they have plastic tanks and filters that are way more efficient than "days gone by". Even running out of fuel isnt an issue. Just change the filter and away you go.
  8. And there goes the thread. It was doing well until the trolls came in. Shame. I'm with you mickey finn. Threatened with physical violence I wouldn't be asking questions until I knew myself and my family are safe. Today's world is very different to the past. In an idealistic world we would all get on, reality is very different. In respect to the original thread, the player got what he deserved in being banned from the sport. Actions/consequences and all that.
  9. And one punch laws or king hits by another name. It's quite the rage over here at the moment im sorry to say.
  10. so did I. Unfortunately due to being in situations throughout my pub career where the women are worse than the men... my opinion changed. Dont get me wrong, Im not talking domestic abuse etc etc.... but if a woman wants to throw a punch at someone then she should expect the favour to be returned. Its no different to the girl in question throwing a punch at another girl..... I guess that would be ok then if she got a punch back from the second woman because she doesnt have dangly bits between the legs? ( we assume ) tbh the behavior of both sexes within a pub were one of the reasons I left the trade.
  11. she threw the first punch.....i would of thrown one back as well. women want equality.. they can deal with the consequences and in my book punching someone in the face just isnt on.. also noticed her knee going in as well. A fist is no different to a bat or knife. It only takes one punch and a life can be ended. Should he of stepped back, probably, but when booze is involved most rational decisions go out the window. Puts on flame suit.
  12. haha... my sister did this to me tonight when I saw her... I looked at her like she was special! Never heard of it until tonight.
  13. Tanks are sealed units and dont have little bungs in them to drain them. (bar the sender/pump holes on the top) As others have said, either get a hand pump or use the feed line and turn the car on to pump it out.
  14. I had this before I left the UK in 2009. I had insured, taxed and MOT'd my car the day it all ran out.. all online. Was travelling to work the next morning and got pinged on an ANPR. The cops thought they had a trifector and I ended up having an argument with both of them. Fortunately the cops made a fool of themselves, ( couldnt count.. yes, I had a cop counting on his fingers because he was trying to prove a point and was wrong ) and they let me go with a producer. At the end of it all he confirmed it takes a couple of days for their database to be updated. Dont know if this has changed in the years that have gone by, but I would like to think it has!
