Hi guys, Any ideas of a good place to watch the rugby 6 nations please? Ideally around Broomhill? Always tough these days, competing against football and finding a place with atmosphere can be tough, sometimes I feel like the era of TV's everywhere has ruined atmosphere as well. Thanks

How Bad Are Trams For Tramlines At Hillsborough
Mosey replied to Mosey's topic in Going out in Sheffield
thanks for the information. I think a different option is planned which entails parking a little further afield and walking in. I've been to events before where effectively you end up thinking "I could have walked to town by now!" -
Hi, help please. My Mum is going to Hillsborough today and I wondered how bad or chaotic the trams are when all the music finishes? Is it chaos or not to bad? Thanks

Replace rotten chipboard bathroom floor
Mosey replied to Mosey's topic in Sheffield Property & Housing
thanks everyone. Do you know of any local places/tradesmen that would be good to go to please? thanks -
Hi everyone, sorry to be boring but could I have your advice please? My bathroom is a vinyl floor and recently has become increasingly soft under foot. Below the vinyl is a chipboard floor which has become black and rotten so presumably eventually I will end up putting my foot through it. My Dad has suggested that I get someone to fit some floorboards rather than chipboard and to get this sorted asap. I live in the S6 area so any advice that anyone would have would be appreciated please?

Yesterday we had a nice little swim in Crookes Valley Park near the Dam house. I'm sure the peak district has more to offer but it was still pretty nice. Plus you can have a beer in the dam house once you have dried off.

All, does anyone know how long these cases take please? I.e. so we know whether it gets approved? -

I have also objected. In all honesty, parking is an issue and there is already enough road rage in these parts, Walkley Road corner causes many a scene. -
Why are there no public toilets in sheffield?
Mosey replied to GOLDEN OLDIE's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
Its not too bad in town centre. Further out where I live can be a bit of a problem. You can still see where the toilets outside the library were. In addition, just past the springvale, slightly further down you can see there were toilets on the other side of the road. There are pubs you can use, but the reception you can receive is very dependent on the landlord. -
I hear you tzijlstra. I regularly travel from Wakefield all the way down to London on the M1. I understand the logic behind HS2 being that it will improve journey times. The same logic can be applied to improving the motorway network, but why take so long? I wonder how many years after the completion it will be before the improvements pay dividends.

Congestion on Walkley Road, bottom of Palm Street.
Mosey replied to Mosey's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
Any viewpoint on how it can be improved please? -
On the bend on Walkley Road, there are always parked cars on one side. Unfortunately you cannot see round the bend and this often results in cars meeting and having to reverse. Yesterday I witnessed a slight disagreement where a driver was swearing at not one but two cars, asking the drivers whether they would like to discuss outside of their vehicles. (Different language used.) Just wondered if anyone else has had, or witnessed similar incidents in the area?
