I'm not sure that Israel is going to be that concernmed about lack of funds. Its going to take rather more than a bunch of folks not buying dates from Tesco to do that. Whilst the rest of the world was in recession Israel doubled GDP in 8 years. They sell Uzi machine guns and pilotless drone aircraft for rather more than £1/kilo. I wouldn't worry about it. The amount of grocery trade the UK does with Israel is miniscule. It is certainly under £10 million in total. So boycotts at supermarkets is a bit pointless. Folk who want to buy from Israel do it on line. That way the profits go back to Israel and not someone like Tesco who cut producers margins to the bone. At least Tesco pay's taxes in the UK. Driving folk away from Tesco just sends the profits and taxes abroad.
