  1. It was good to watch because it brought the better out of us, we knew we equally had to get the ball down and play it around and we did.....honestly I will say it again it's coming together and somebody will take a beating from us in the next few games.
  2. Anyway somebodies about to take a massive beating at the hands of Sheffield United FC and hopefully it will be MK Dons, I think going forward it's coming together and we have the players to do some damage.
  3. Oh dear can't make a valid point without somebody taking a knock at you. Leyton Orient were far better on the ball than you lot last week that is an observation that I made whilst at the match today, they put the ball around very well and play football on the floor which is despite the stats last week what Wednesday didn't do. The possesion Wednesday had was majority up in the air playing to the strenghts of 6 foot plus players in the team.....Leyton Orient get it down on the deck and try to pass and move to get into creative positions, I would even go as far as saying they are trying to use Brightons model of football from last year....If they play like that at home from now until may they won't drop many points and will be in or very close to the top 6.
  4. I honestly don't want them to go back in all honesty mate, were talking about two players who I feel would have kept us in the championship last year had we had them in the ranks. I love the fact that they already know eachother inside out, they link with eachother superbly and like I said they bring the best out of others. Williamson deserves a massive mention he again was a class act today had it not been for that dirty 2 footed challenge I fancied him to hit the back of the net. Every team in this league now knows that if you put the ball in the air in and around the 6 yard box and apply pressure on the keeper, he will fluff it, this is where we need to be looking to sort things. If it wasn't for 18 months on his contract and a substantial salary Simonsen would be history now we all know it. A 1-1 draw, but United for me at the minute are playing football again....bring on MK Dons on home soil in front of thousands of confident Blades fans cheering them on!
  5. We did everything but, creative wise we are looking the best we have all season, I think Phillips and Clarke are playing a massive part in this but I think they have given a massive confidence boost to the rest of the lads as well. I can think of 5 or 6 goal scoring opportunities today where the ball probably should have hit the back of the net, however I know this will come and forget Preston midweek but while the two Blackpool loanees are at the club and we are playing how we are someone will come to the lane and take a good hiding....and I think this will be MK Dons on Tuesday and it will be a massive remider to the league. Can I just add that Leyton Orient were a cut above what Wednesday were when they came to the Lane last weekend, we played against a very well organise and creative team today on the same level of form as wednesday, bags of confidence and far better on the ball going forward than The Owls....
  6. Is indeed the referee who officiated the Huddersfield game, and in all fairness he was jubious against both teams from what I remember....However before anyone jumps on my back no this wasn't a factor in why we lost, that was down to being suicidal at the back and not doing anything in the final third, I still can't get over that result, very freak considering the game as anyone who went will agree? As for the MK Dons game, We will win that I'm going to put myself out there and say. We were decent again today against a very stubborn Orient team who were on a good run of form and were playing with confidence, we took the game to them and if we put it around like we have been doing then we could even bag 3 against MK Dons at home. Phillips and Clarke are absolutely immense, a different class still by the way.....
  7. Gary Megson has told MK Dons that they can extend his loan deal should they pay his full salary... It seems Wednesday were happy to have him off the wage bill and let MK Dons pay just half of his salary for his services, however in the wake of Morrisons 3 goals in 4 games, Megson has now The Dons that they will have to pay his full wage bill if they want to keep him on board on loan, otherwise they will take him back. http://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/sport/football/sheffield-wednesday/morrison_heading_back_to_owls_unless_dons_pay_up_1_3894227
  8. As he did at Bramall Lane earlier in the season, this time it's you Owls who have the chance to win a bit of moolah.... @ Hillsborough this saturday, have to be available from noon. Anyone who watches the show will know how it works, Fenners asks the questions you get em right you win the cash.....and a chance to get a glimpse of the gorgeous Bianca Westwood. takeitlikeafan@bskyb.com Email if you want to take part!
  9. The Supermarket have promised to give away £300 at every store every day until the end of the month, this is written in the terms and conditions of the game therefore Morrisons will have to adhere to it, therefore yes I believe the competition to be a genuine one and i'd imagine we will see a list of winners some time soon either in the supermarkets themselves or in the local wragg.
  10. AC Milan v Bate Barcelona v Plzen Chelsea v Genk Porto v Apoel Marseille v Arsenal Leicester v Watford Preston v United Bit of a silly bet for me tonight but need something to keep me going what with me not going to game so all of the above. 2.5 goals or over - £10 @ 26/1
  11. Nice contract termination fee if anyone comes in to buy him! :hihi:
  12. Got a very close relative who lives in the area and despite having a bit of banter over the estate in all fairness they have never had any real hassle what so ever. As said above I think it's just a case of getting on with live and keeping yourself to yourself, my relatives who live up there happen to have a decent neighbourly relationship with a couple of other houses on the street which means they always keep an eye out for eachothers homes and property. One pointer would be sheds, I think it might have been done on here numerous times, however brother had attempts to break into his shed several times leading to him now having 4 locks of it, might seem a little over the top however needed.
  13. For those who didn't know the highly rated 18 year old Blades defender has just put pen to paper on a contract extension that will see him remain at the club until 2015. An example of a true footballer, no holding the club to ransom like certain young players recently (no names mentioned). Congratulations young Harry on your achievements so far and thank you, got the potential to be a Blades great so keep up the good work! Well done United for putting the deal in front of him! http://www.sufc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10418~2486883,00.html
  14. No red and white Specs at all mate, I have taken some negatives and positives out of it, I can say straight that I thought Marshall was Immense, I like the strenght of O'Grady and allthough Madine didn't have one of his better games for you lot I noticed the Sharpness to his that has bagged him the leading goalscorer so far. Can honestly say though that Reda Johnson wasn't as good as you lot have made him out to be, I think we got the beating of him on many occasion, and semedo was very rarely in the game over the course of the game and when he was for most of it he wasn't anything special. Not going to Preston as i'm down celebrating my anniversary at a log cabin until friday, will be the first it's in my best interest to keep the wife happy. As for orient I will be there with my red tinted specs.
