  1. Well said Lady Star, mr postman clearly jumped on the wrong band wagon, glad you put him right. Some people are just so quick to bring in their racist views into any possible argument and clearly that incident was just drunken yobs.
  2. opted for the bicarb option as it's seemed less work and bingo! no smell this morning. Left it over night and vacuumed today. Thanks to the four postees who suggested bicarb, really worked.
  3. For what it's worth I didn't find it offensive, just annoyingly funny!!
  4. Yes, annoyingly so, but how come it got deleted, just noticed it's not there now.
  5. ha ha !! This smell is enough to make your eyes water though.
  6. Wow, sounds like torture to do all that but hey ho, I'l give it a go, anything to save my rug. Thanks for the speedy reply.
  7. My little one recently spilt a cup of milk on my rug. Although i thought i'd given it a really thorough clean and got rid of it , two days later the room is smelling really bad, and i just wondered if anyone knows any way of getting rid of the smell cos I don't want to throw my rug away but this smell is gross.
  8. Think your best bet for posh bath salts has got to be John Lewis, downstairs on ground floor, plenty of nice brands to choose from. I like the Cowshed products but it depends how weel you get on with your mother in law, could be a bit risky ha ha
