  1. It is helpful if people put an attempt forward to construct their sentences properly. (Spelling more than anything). However, misspelling a word shouldn't be harped on. The problem I have is that I've lived in countries where many common words are spelled differently. Which makes it a bit akward. However, I believe Geoff posted this utility somewhere in the forum. I've been using it a lot. http://www.iespell.com/ - It's a spell checking plug-in for Internet Explorer. So if you use IE, you can automatically spell check your posts. It doesn't handle grammar, but perhaps it will help you avoid ostracization from the likes of T020.
  2. Predominantly disposable barbeques that I've come across. In Guidlford I had a built-in barbeque, but it wasn't gas either. Still required the fuel poured all over charcoal, and took well over 30 minutes to heat up. I met one person in the UK that had a gas bbq, it was very small though.
  3. Barbeques in this country are kind of behind the times.. In Canada we used to barbeque all year round (even in a few feet of snow). But just about everyone owns a gas bbq. (Propane usually). This means it can produce a lot of heat all year round, as well, it doesn't produce much smoke (unless you burn the food).
  4. Works for me as well. I was 6 weeks premature (birth that is). I'm always early for meetings (work and social).
  5. I don't sleepwalk now. however, when I was much younger, I used to sleepwalk a few times a month. On a few occasions I had woken up in the front garden, or sometimes in the basement, screaming as I had no idea how I got there.
  6. RSVP definitely serve Hoegarden on draft, and I believe All Bar One near Orchard square does as well..
  7. I find my mobile quite useful. Though, i rent a flat, and if I owned a home, my opinion might be quite different...
  8. Have gotten a hold of 'Auto Windscreen's' on Broad Lane, Tel: 0114 273 9394. They seemed to have the best quote, and the guy was quite helpful. He gladly pointed out that the normal Insurance excess doesn't apply for glass. And that windscreen work has an excess of £50. Thanks for all the responses!
  9. Would do. But I opted for a fairly high excess to offset the cost of insurance. So the excess would probably be more expensive than the work.
  10. Heya - well I suppose I just assumed it's as convenient for me to take it to the garage. The crack doesn't impair the ability to drive the vehicle. It's just large enough that it will cause an MOT failure. Will definitely call around a few places based on suggestions I get! Thanks.
  11. Anyone have any suggestions on where I can get a windscreen replaced in Sheffield? (Closer to the centre the better). The car is a Hyundai. It has a crack from some stones that flew up on the motorway, and am going to need to get it replaced. Cheers!
  12. Ooh, someone mentioned Alice Cooper. I was brought up on Alice Cooper. He played in Guildfest last year. (Guildford Music Festival). Unfortunately they followed him up with Atomic Kitten. How rude is that?
  13. Cheering for the Leafs (being from Toronto area originally).. But Sundays game was awful.. poor Belfour - no support. At any rate, it's the Saturday/Sunday games that I'd be kean on watching in a pub. The evening games are a bit late - not starting until 12:00BST.. Just have to rely on mojoradio.com for now I suppose.
  14. Well, the NHL (National Hockey League) playoffs are well under way. I'm quite dissapointed that I can't find any pubs in Sheffield playing any of the games. (I end up listening to them over internet radio). When I was down south I used to go to the Maple Leaf pub in London, to watch some of the games. Anyone know of any pubs in Sheffield or area, that air games? I should also look at catching a Steelers game once they start up again. I go skating at Ice Sheffield every so often, but need to watch some ice hockey before I go into withdrawal!
  15. Wondering if there are any lone climbers out there. I do some bouldering at the Uni sports centre, but don't have anyone to climb with, so I've not gone to the Foundry yet. If anyone is up for indoor climbing at the foundry (or other venue if you know of any), pm me. Don't need to be very experienced, just looking for someone to climb/belay with, evenings or weekends.
