  1. I feel compelled to tell you all how disgusted I am with West One Flats.... I lived there for just 2 months and it was one of the worst mistakes of my life. Not to mention how noisy it was when I was living there, and the maintenance problems on top of that (i.e. lift always breaking, dirty corridors, etc) - I would have expected a bit better service considering the money I way paying to live there. To top it all off, West One are now refusing to give us our deposit back until we have all payed a £900 pound N Power Bill between 6 of us!! I wouldnt mind, but I only lived there for 2 months! In any case, all the bills have been paid. It's now been over 3 months since I moved out and West One are coming up with every excuse known to man to avoid giving me my deposit back (£322!). I wouldnt normally write so badly about a place, but I dont want others to make the same mistake as I have by moving into West One. Apologies to anyone who likes living there, but for me West One just come across as money-stealing scoundrels (and thats being nice!) Does anyone else agree?
  2. p.s. transaltion MAs are usually one year - costs would depend on whether you could get funding or not. if not its very expensive, thats all I know. But I suppose you could get an alternative translation qualification in a non-university establishment....
  3. I'm pretty certain that in most cases you DO need a translation qualification. I've got a French and German degree from Uni of Sheffield and have been unable to find any translation/interpreting jobs where a language degree is enough on its own. its a bit of a pain, I know!
  4. I lived in Broomhall in my final year and never had any problems at all. think it depends where in Broomhall you live...we were right near the university which i think is the nicer part of broomhall anyway, its the eccelsall end that you need to be careful about
