  1. Are there ANY left?
  2. Except these will be in Brighton and surrounding area. 🤣.
  3. I thought that was the case, @YorkieontheTyne. Interesting responses on here - thanks all - but I'm hoping to be able to extend my stay in Llandudno by a day, and then travel on the Thursday. Means re-jigging a couple of things, but hopefully...
  4. Where was that? It is a good suggestion, thanks, but could be a little tricky, and I bet it is a hellishly long journey. Fortunately, a very good friend of mine is an ex-BR manager with an encyclopedic knowledge of the system, so I may ask him - although I would prefer to to just do the planned route the day after, for obvious reasons.
  5. They could - but that means totally re-booking my return journey, no doubt at an increased cost, and travelling for a looong time - the initial planned route was long enough, but bearable.
  6. We'll see - I have already sent them a short and to the point email requesting a reply.😀
  7. I'm actually hoping my planned location can accommodate me for the extra night - but as I asked above - do I send the invoice for it to ASLEF HQ?
  8. Thanks, @Pyrotequila - that is what my brain told me when I calmed down a bit, but if I can't do that... And who pays for that extra b=night - ASLEF?
  9. Actually, you have made a possibly valid assumption, as I forgot to explain I am not returning to Sheffield, but actually going to Brighton (Sussex) on that day, via Avanti West Coast and Thameslink.
  10. I have planned and paid for a break in Llandudno over the period 03 -08/05/24, but our kind friends at ASLEF have decided to strand me there on the 8th. As my hotel booking is non-refundable, I am now left with a slight dilemma - do I cancel the whole thing at a cost of >£250 , or do I try and accommodate these lovely people by hoping I can extend my stay - sensible replies only please.
  11. Are you for real, or was this just an ill thought out question?
  12. To add - would it not be an idea to ask whilst the debacle is still fresh in their minds?
  13. I think @NERVY-OWL has answered that - the Brightside yard is not big enough to store 4 x 36' vehicles in.
  14. I assume it was, and somewhere earlier in this thread @SheffieldForumquoted a TSY/SYMCA source as saying it would be at Brightside - they were obviously lying/misinformed.
  15. Irrespective of the charging time, storing £1/2m of vehicles in an insecure location is, I would imagine, an insurers no-no.
