  1. Gf got turned down for a car other day. I applied for car loan and got it. She thinks it will help her better if s ahe buys it outright and just pays me back. Will this way help with her credit much?
  2. hi im wanting to buy sand loose as this would be the easiest way to get it into my property boundary. Does anyone know anywhere that sells building sand in this way?
  3. Has anyone tied Cubanas for an Xmas works party? Ive been there before for a meal and found the found great and it has a great atmosphere. But dont know if it would be ok as a Xamas venue. Were also considering the broadfield, has anyone been there, ive never eaten there. Thanks.
  4. I am wanting to put in a attic conversion so i can use it as another bedroom. Who is the best person to talk too first, builder, architect, a conversion specialist??? I know my neighbour uses theres but they dont have dedicated stairs, they use it as a study area. Im guessing i have to strengthen the joists somehow and obviously have to have the stiars put in. After those are done im wanting to get stuck in myself with the insulation and joinery. Electrics would need to be someone else and if i could move the boiler up there it would make things better for the front bedroom! Not looking to put in anything other than velux windows at this point, just want a basic conversion that meets regs. I suppose if there were somone who could draw up a plan for me to work off that would be the best thing.
  5. Hi does anyone know somewhere in Sheffield that make custom size stainless steel splashbacks?
  6. Need to get this sorted asap, anyone know someone who could help. S9 area.
  7. Just used the KLick fitness place the other day. I found it to be a very up to date gym. Has the usual stuff machinces, free weights and a bunch of cardio equipment but it also has an upstairs area with all your more functional fitness equipment battling ropes, sandbags, suspension trainers, kettlebells, viprs, foam rollers. This stuff keeps your training much more interesting and you can get a quick workout done and not everyone is familiar with this stuff yet so you've a better chance of walking straight in and being able to use it (no waiting). I went on a day pass, no contract, no admin fee, £5 and i got a workout done and saw what it was like. The changing rooms and showers are all pretty standard really. I think you'd benefit from just going in on a day pass a lot of the stuff they have you wont get at other gyms.
  8. MMA is a great sport, i've watch most UFC's and have watch other tornaments from the early days of MMA. The sport has come a long way from the days when it was banned. All the fighters cross train or follow a dedicated system for MMA. Early UFC's would be full of booing if the fight went to the ground because people didn't understand the ground fighting aspect of it. Once you come to understand that side of it, it becomes a lot more interesting. The fighters also incorporate Strength and Conditioning now making a better athlete/fighter. Guys like Tank Abbott don't last now because you have to be athletic as well as having the skill. As for the UFC, well i don't like it as much as i did Pride FC but that's long gone now. Maybe UFC going to FOX would mean they'll be less of the Harley Davidson prep center and the Mickey's replay and the advertising the announcer and the commentators do and just be about the fights. I doubt it though, it all revoles around money and if they can make more money obviously the event will fair better. What I'd like to see is more rivals to the UFC, after all UFC is not MMA its just a show with its own set of rules that have evolved to allow the show to be taken seriously by TV networks. If they were still fighting bare knuckle with only 3 rules and 30 min time limit i don't think we'd be seeing it on FOX. There's more to MMA than just the UFC but every time one gets going UFC seems to buy them out and cancel it.
  9. Hey man i've been and had a look at all the decent gyms. Pure gym is good because it has kettlebells in the gym and foam rollers. Not a lot of other gyms being up to date like this round here. I've not tried the new Klick fitness that took over where fitness first used to be in hillsborough. One thing about pure gym is when i looked into it they wanted a joining fee of £35. I've also heard fitness unlimited are going to up their prices but if you join before they do it you might get your membership at the lower price. I train at home now and have done for quite some time. Picked up some stuff new but a lot is ebay or homemade. Im planning on a outdoor gym for the summer in the backyard. I'd been using gyms for years and have now started helping out people at work. Have been giving people stuff to do at home, if you like i can do the same for you? Good luck anyways.
  10. Has anyone been in the new gym at hillsborough, i think its called Klick fitness.
  11. Cross fit involve a lot of olympic lifts do any you know where you can learn those in sheffield?
  12. For plumbing work I would recommend Dearne Domestic Plumbing and Bathrooms. Sam has done numerous bits of work on my new house and was always on time and very professional. He even came out when we had a small leak in one of our taps which he fixed on the spot. [
  13. Anyone know where you can get Aluminum tubing. Long lengths, not the kind B&Q or Wickes would stock.
  14. Hi iam working through my courses to be a personal trainer i only have one to go now but i've just bought a house so i'm waiting till probably october to do the last one. My plan is to use my garage as my studio. If you are still wanting someone to train you just let me know.
