  1. Yes in Worrall. Had a power cut a short time ago and all back to normal once power went back on.
  2. The symptoms described could have been hemorrhagic gastroenteritis. My dog had this 3 weeks ago and nearly died. We got her to the vets within an hour of symptoms which were the same as described in the facebook post. A puppy wouldn't have the same reserves to survive an illness like that.
  3. It was delivered by the person who lives in the house it was delivered to. There are houses and flats on the same road with the same postcode. Letter is from Newlyn slightly different address and phone number from PCM
  4. My mother received a ticket for parking in a disabled space in meadowhall, her badge was knocked into the footwell. She checked online as they said and there were no pictures which they said there would be to prove the offense. I told her to ignore it, I didn't realise the advice had changed. She heard no more. A letter has just been hand delivered to her address saying it is from debt collectors. They sent the letter to the wrong address. To get any address from DVLA they would have to have gone through motability so they know she is disabled. What should she do now?
  5. Concord is only 2 laps and there is a downhill at the start followed by a fairly flat stretch, then the uphill followed by another fairly flat stretch. It is a slower course than Hallam but faster than Graves. They may not have as large a number as some of the Parkruns but it is always friendly
  6. I don't know if it would help but there is a hospital social worker. They may be able to give you some advice or even speak to the council.
  7. How can the council use this excuse when the people with the extra small bins are now having them changed back to normal sized bins. Add to that the people they are allowing to have extra large bins. Must be costing a bomb! A lot of these people who had the smaller bins are older and cannot get the bigger bin to the kerb side for emptying so now the bin men have to collect these bins meaning their round takes longer. To top it off these bins are just being shredded and put into landfill.
  8. One of the problems is that they are only legally obliged to provide transport for children entitled to free transport - so those that have a journey of more than 3 miles via a safe walking route.
  9. There is a camera shop on Ecclesall Road near Tesco. He can take the photos for any nationality passport and was cheaper than a photo booth last time we went and he know exactly what is needed for a passport photo.
  10. Thanks They have not issued the course as they say it is subject to change should be fairly similar though so should be all right for where I want to drive.
  11. Does anyone know which roads are closed on Sunday for Race for Life? There is no route shown on the Race for Life web site and I cannot find any info on council site.
  12. Dykes Hall has always been great for us. They do two different times to ring for urgent appointments and I have even rung for non urgent appointments and been seen within 24 hours. Staff in reception are very helpful not like some I have had to deal with. We left Far Lane when they refused to do an urgent swab requested by the hospital on my son who had just had surgery. We ended up in A&E for a basic swab as it could have been dangerous to wait the three days for the only appointment they would give us.
