Thanks for the recommend Mooks, I listen to a couple of songs of Vanden Plas on Youtube and they are really good. I recently started listening to Sons of Apollo which is a new project Mark Portnoy who used to be in Dream Theater is doing. There's also a German band I like a lot called Lord of the Lost. I saw Evergrey when they were supporting Kamelot a few years ago. I'd like to see Symphony X too.

I like power and prog metal bands such as Nightwish, Blind Guardian, Pagan's Mind, Evergrey and Angel Nation. I've recently gotten into AOR bands like H.E.A.T, TEN, Inglorious and Pretty Maids. I used to listen to 80s goth and new romantics stuff that my Dad got me into such as The Cult and the Mission and I looked for modern stuff that sounds similar and the obsession with melodic hard rock and metal grew from there. I've been into this stuff for around 12 or 13 years. There's a record label that has been signing a lot of AOR and Melodic Metal bands recently and nearly all of them are fantastic! It's called Frontiers SRL.

I wanted to go and see Bowling for Soup, but I had to miss the gig because I was working. If they tour again soon I will go see them.

Little mix singer criticised for wearing dreadlocks
Nightcast22 replied to pintor's topic in Entertainment Chat
People should be able to have their hair how they want. Telling a white person that they can't have dreadlocks in their hair is like saying a black person can't straighten their hair! -
I studied English because I wanted to become an English teacher. I'm now £35,000 in student debt. ---------- Post added 22-02-2018 at 22:54 ---------- I used to get 8 hours of teaching a week at uni and 2 of these hours were between 7pm and 9pm in the evening when I couldn't concentrate because I was so tired after being at work all day. My loan only just covered the cost of my accomodation and food so I had to work part time to get enough money for travel, books and beer. I had to spend about £200 a semester just on books. I wish amazon kindle or ipads were out when I was at uni because I could have saved a lot of money by buying ebooks instead. ---------- Post added 22-02-2018 at 22:58 ---------- It's wrong that funding for F.E has been reducing. F.E often provides a better and more suitable education for students who found that school wasn't for them.

Dockless bike sharing scheme to launch in Sheffield
Nightcast22 replied to WalkleyIan's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
This rent a bike scheme is a really good idea and I have seen a lot of people riding them, but too many people are misusing the bikes and I've seen children popping wheelies on them and messing around. I've also seen some bikes that have been dumped on the side of the road. -
Do you guys need an almost 30, washed up semi-rubbish female vocalist? I just want to join a rock band for fun, but bands always want serious musicians.

Hmm for the next Prime Minister I can vote for: White, middle class male that wears a blue tie. White, middle class male that wears a red tie. White, middle class male that wears a yellow tie. White, middle class male that wears a purple tie. Hmm, which colour do I like best? I wish there was a white, middle class male that wears a pink tie. ---------- Post added 20-04-2015 at 00:59 ---------- And in the USA Hmm, for the next President I can vote for: The wife of a former President The son of a former President Hmm, which family member do I like best? I wish there was the cousin of a former President on the ballot.

With the housing market the way it is at the moment and since it looks like house prices will not be falling anytime soon, I've become resigned to the fact that I will never be able to afford to buy my own house/flat, even though I work full time and earn above minimum wage, the fact that I live alone and don't qualify for benefits means that I never have enough money left at the end of the month to save anything. However, I could get a loan or finance to buy a mobile home. Then pay ground rent. The only problem is I don't have a clue where I could put one if I did buy one. I have seen a couple of sites on the internet, but they are only for people aged over 55/retired people. (I'm in my late 20s) Surely, somewhere there must be a site with no age restrictions. I was wondering if anyone lives on a residential park at the moment or knows someone who does, or if someone could give me some advice please.

Commute from Woodseats to Doncaster
Nightcast22 replied to david30's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
It's better to get the bus to be honest. Before I moved to Sheffield I used to commute from Doncaster everyday using the buses and trains and it's almost the same amount of time spent travelling because of the traffic on the motorway. It's cheaper on the bus too and no parking to pay. -
I have a business idea but I want to offer a range of different services, not just one core idea. The services that I could offer are CV Writing Letter Writing (Communications support) University Study Assistance/ Homework Help Proofreading English Language tuition via email and skype Family History Research (I have 9 years experience doing this) The problem I have is that I've never worked from home before and I don't have any idea how to advertise my services or to find out about any legal obligations that I might have. Can anyone give me some advice please?

Catholic Priest bans charity gig.
Nightcast22 replied to dafodil's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
Probably would be okay with it since that sort of music is 'mainstream' these days.
