  1. Rediscover you Potential at The University of Sheffield Rediscover Your Potential is an event designed to provide you with information about going to university as an adult. The event will take place on Thursday 4th December 4pm-8pm. There will be sessions and activities delivered by academic staff, alumni and current mature students. Careers advisors will be present to deliver talks, answer any questions you might have and you'll have the opportunity to book individual careers appointments upon your arrival. Departments from across the University will also be on hand to showcase their degree courses available to you, some of which will provide you with a taster. Your previous qualifications and work experience are not barriers to becoming a learner again. You may want a change in career, to further your career prospects or simply study something of interest. There are many reasons to why you’d benefit from studying again whatever the reason; you are welcome to join us at this free drop-in event. Friends and family are welcome. Please book your place at:http://goo.gl/y7msan
  2. The problem with working Christmas day is that people are made to work who don't have a choice, such as waitresses. Usually people who would rather spend the day with their families would get sacked if they refused to come in. I understand services such as hospitals etc should be open but if one shop opens, over the years all of them will. It's about competitive business.
  3. Again... seriously?? I'm the one who owns the scooter down there. It was also broken into a few days ago too (god knows what they were expecting to find in my glove box). There was also a break in just over a month back, a drunken idiot got in and beat up a load of cars and my scooter, he wasn't done for it because there was no evidence due to a lack of cctv. I'm seriously thinking of moving out when my 6 months are up. It's worrying to think about how safe I am in my flat. All these incidents are from a 'locked' garage, people have to pay around £80/month to park 'safely' down there. This is the third incident (that i know of) in 2 months. Ridiculous.
