  1. Lived close to sheffield for most of my life until I went to live in the Philippines. Come back to the UK to work now and then.
  2. Does anyone know how to get reaal chinese food cooked in your own home by a chinese person. I know there is a cchinese woman who does this in worksop but I don't know of anyone who does this in sheffield. also what is the going rate for their skills
  3. sorry tom, you deserve an apology from me. I was very clumsy with the words i used and can see how it looked like I was accusing you of having excessive sick leave. What wanted to say was if a person had excessive sick leave without good reason that person would be treated and a drain on the company. I had no reason to say that you had this bad record. sorry for the late reply, I dont check this site very often.
  4. I heard that the media had been silenced for the protection of the victims. They may still here in here in Sheffield and deserve our support to regain their lives. So I am in favour of not raking up the horrible facts and displaying them for everyone to oggle over.
  5. The first aider may not have had the authority to send you home. As another said, your employers policy on excessive sick leave may not be interested in the reason for your sick leave but be more interested in the number of days sick taken. During the meeting you are likely to have the opportunity to explain the valid reasons and if this is due to an underlying and long-term illness then you will be considered disabled and may have to undergo an independent medical consultation to assess the extent of your disability and how this will impair your function. If there isn't an underlying cause for your excessive sickness then you will be treated as a time waster, a drain on the company and a burden on the staff who have to work harder to cover your days off. There is a lot more to it than this, but I think these are the main points.
  6. If your boss does not think there will be any interest then you rent them off him and sub-let them. I am sure you will get lots of interest with a price of £30 per month each
  7. I think I will have a walk down. Can tickets be bought on the door?
  8. I'm not female but i would like to know where the band is playing.
  9. I know somebody who was charge with theft, and pleaded guilty to it, for moving something so he could steal it later. So stopping the person from stealing the item does not mean they didn't committ an offence.
  10. My wife is a misday supervisor in derbyshire, they had a training session on playground activities which included physical games. Organising them too much hinders their social development, they need time alone too to develop social skills.
  11. I was there last year and the internet connection was terrible. Even the government dont have broadband yet
  12. balute in the Philippines. have a look for it on you tube. Partially developed duck chicks in the shell.
  13. Your job is worth what people you can get people to pay you. On the subject of taxes; my salary is about £50,000 and I take home £2,800 a month after deductions, which are £16,400 a year. My deductions are about 1/3rd of my salary. So I think I pay my dues.
  14. I use the internet. http://www.comparetravelmoney.co.uk/ I use to find the best exchange company. http://www.x-rates.com/d/EUR/AUD/graph120.html I use to track the changes in exchange rates so i can choose the best time to buy.
