  1. Ooh cripes, that's an early start!! :S Heh. Aye, have already joined that site in the hopes someone might be able to deliver me. Single train fare is looking to be £88 Tragic. I hate my boss....
  2. Hi chaps! Work plans have changed and am being forced to work the Thursday now, so am missing out on the car-share with friends Wednesday morning. Is there ANY chance someone has a space in their car for one lass please? Will be free to travel from around 4:30pm+ after work Thursday now. Thank yoooooou x
  3. I'll edit! *laughs* He only needs to see how nice people are at the moment, owt that makes him feel 1% better at the mo will be a big relief to us all. Shinyhappy - aww, bless you pet. But anyone would do the same, you just want your mates to be okay don't you? I get a bit mother hen about mine!
  4. I have indeed told him of all the wonderfully kind words of support offered here, and it's properly touched him. I'm going to print off all the comments and stick em in a card to cheer him up!
  5. Well apparently his nose needs straightening out again, his cheekbone has dropped and needs to be lifted and reattached, and he also needs a metal plate fitting in the corner of his eye :S
  6. Well he's been in for more xrays guys, as the sweling's started to go down in his face a bit, and they've told him to go home, pack a bag, and come back as they want to operate on him tonight. Not good.
  7. Apparently he called out to a woman who walked past him after the attackers had left, and asked her to help him, to which she replied "I'm pregnant - I don't want to get involved". Involved in WHAT exactly? He just needed someone to call him a damned ambulance, for crying out loud, he was in terrible shock. Poor lad... *shakes head*
  8. It just makes me sooo angry. I'm surprised from looking at him yesterday that he didn't have permanent damage to his vision, he was very lucky in that respect.... It takes just a minute of your time to help someone in need like your son did, and makes *all* the difference.
  9. Well fingers crossed the Rude Shipyard has CCTV, the police are contacting them to find out if they caught any footage, and are doing door to doors to try to get some more info.
  10. I know. To be honest, I can't blame the people who did nothing when the blokes were there, it's a matter of personal safety. But to just walk past someone left in that state.... it honest to god breaks my heart. I walked that way last night, and there are pools and trails of blood all across the pavement where he had to drag himself to the road to call for help.....
  11. He's 30. He's never been in a fight in his life. Ironically enough, he didn't like the look of these 3 chaps and actually put his head down as he walked past them to avoid eye contact as he didn't want to start anything. Sadly, this means he couldn't give the police a very good description.
  12. Thanks love. I know, it breaks my heart to know he was lying on the pavement for 20 minutes, pleading for people to phone for help, and no one did anything I just pray to god they're caught before this kind of horrendous thing can be done again or, heaven forbid, worse.
  13. Hi guys. A good friend of mine was very badly hurt on Saturday night ater an unprovoked attack, and I was hoping someone may have seen something that could help in finding the scum who did it. My friend was walking home from work on Saturday night, along Abbeydale Road when he was attacked. This happened at around 11:05pm, just a few houses away from The Rude Shipyard. He was hit in the face once with a blunt object, and has severe eye damage now along with nerve damage to his face, a fractured bone, a chipped tooth, stitches.. etc...... There were people around who didn't intervene, which I could almost understand given the state of his face and how scary it must have looked. The 3 attackers fled afterwards, leaving him on the floor, where he remained for 20 minutes until a police car spotted him. He called to several passers by for help, but was ignored. I don't care if people were scared and didn't want to get involved, no one's judging you. But it you WERE there and saw something, can you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get in touch with the police? Or likewise if you hear something that might lead to identifying these despicable louts. People who can commit such acts of violence need to be caught before they go too far. Lecture over. Sorry for ranting, but he's really not in a good way
