  1. yes, you are right, they are children. I work with such children, and the majority struggle because they are brought into the world by adults who struggle. It would be great if people preaching on this forum, and making assumptions, could open their minds, and their neighbourhoods, to others who might be a little bit different to themselves.
  2. nice constructive, supportive, appreciative comment.
  3. :thumbsup:I agree. there are other festivals which people are celebrating this month.
  4. I go regularly, with my kids. It's great-they think it's a treasure hunt and forget they are walking! did a lovely one at Burbage last weekend.
  5. I agree. and if I can't afford it I will just buy veg, cheaper that a cheap chicken.
  6. As a nurse it's not my place to judge the people I meet at work. How do I know who is more deserving and "in need of real treatment". sh*t happens to people.....some go and play football to feel better, others use substances. All human beings. I hope you are not in the caring profession madowl. (my only prejudice is Wednesday supporters ;-)
  7. I agree. The NHS is built on the foundation of being free to all at the point of service. and proud of it. (here speaks a nurse).
  8. I just drove near Queens road earlier and heard an unusual number of sirens.
  9. sorry to change the subject-shoes and telephone wires are very amusing- but the previous post says 10.30pm and it's only 9.35?!!! it's changed now, that's strange!
  10. there's a pair on Hickmott road and another on Granville road. I think it's probably a way of not having to smell stinky trainers in your bedroom.....and they slip along the wire never to be reached again! Whatever the reason, they make me smile so hey, that's good. Shoes in the middle of the road are a mystery tho......
  11. I think it was The Vice, with Ken Stott. Filmed around the end of Norfolk Road.
  12. cafe rouge is certainly great for kids. I have heard that Piccolinos at the peace gardens is very child friendly too.
