  1. I am looking to have a few slots punched in some aluminium edging? It is about 2mm thick and I need sixteen 6mm to 8mm slots punched. Does anyone know where I could get this done? It would be much appreciated if anyone knows.
  2. Considering all the above. Bathroom has a shower mixer. Washing machine is downstairs, having lived there I thought it was fine, take off your dirty clothes and put straight in when you have a shower. Bathroom has been painted yesterday....looks better already It has a great view from the kitchen window and no they are not council houses. Timmy R, sorry, I was looking at the wrong house. Yes the house has three floors like mine but the cellar was made into a room and another wall knocked down upstairs. Here a great house doctor make over in Derbyshire. If you dont want to watch it all, see the begining and the last 10 mins https://www.my5.tv/house-doctor/season-8/episode-9
  3. Timmy R, both houses are the same size exactly and two bedrooms, apart from the utility extension and the stepped terrace in garden. It may not fetch the same as the end terrace because of the garden etc Having said that, I was asking about a house doctor make over and putting some furniture inside to make it more attractive.
  4. A neighbours house sold in 2015 for £110000. Their garden is much nicer as it had been stepped and it has a utility room extension on the back, apart form that everything else is very similar. They were liviing in the property so it was dressed to sell and that is why I wondered if it is better to put some personality back in to it. Thanks for all the ideas and experiences you are posting. It's great to know
  5. Yes definitely the bath panel needs painting. Not everyone can see the potential of an empty house. I did let someone live in the house for a few months and it did look different when furniture etc was in, much more cosy. I had a viewer to show round as the estate agent could not do an evening view. I was asked, where the furniture had been in the living room and the kitchen andthat is why I wondered about some furniture.
  6. Link to house https://www.haybrook.com/buying/2-bedroom-house-for-sale/sheffield-south-yorkshire-s36/hay031172253/ I think it is all a bit too neutral and I agree it would be better with some greys or other colours. I also think some furniture and pictures on the walls would be better. it does need some personality injecting into it. Yes, the layout may not be to everyones liking as the bathroom is downstairs. Any ideas what I could do with the tiles in the kitchen? I am thinking of painting the cupboard doors and buying new handles.
  7. I have my property on the market but it isnt getting any interest. It could be a little over priced but it may also need some sprucing up. Has anyone ever given their house the House Doctor treatment if it hasnt sold? Looking at my property on right move it doesnt really stand out and maybe it does need a coat of paint in a couple of rooms to bring it up to date. I have looked on Pinterest at upcycled kitchens and living rooms and it is amazing what a coat of paint can do. Do you have any experience of updating colour schemes and then selling?
  8. Anyone know where I can buy frozen chestnuts?
  9. Richardsons are the cheapest by far. They are friendy helpful and load it in your car.
  10. The council asked a question ...are traffic lights going to improve the flow of traffic? The answer was NO and so they installed traffic lights. I had no idea why there are traffic lights into Sainsburys car park. Does anyone know why they are there? i have been waiting for a red light to get in and out when no cars are there. Between Archer road Sainsburys and Oughtibridge there are over 50 sets of traffic lights. Stopping 50 times if all on red. Council is obsessed with traffic lights
  11. SAINSBURYS is open now 7am to 11pm except Sunday It is a large store, bigger than Morrisons. It sells clothes, homewares and electrical goods including TVs, also a cafe. lots of offers on.....and they price match with ASDA.
  12. Could anyone recommend an epson printer scanner? The scanner is more important to me than the printer as I scan quite a lot. I am looking for a scanner that as good colour likeness to original painted artwork. Also one that has advanced settings so images maybe scanned at 200%. Not looking at professional ranges as there too expensive. Thanks in advance for any recommendations
  13. Already got that one covered at Oughtibridge with a 30 week test/repair of bridge and if the bollards don't get them the speed bumps will.
