  1. Just in case anybody is wondering what the heck I'm going on about. Without linking to the thread I posted on (as my post will obviously be deleted) I was commenting on the fact that somebody wanting help from the state, saying they were unemployed, was also advertising the fact they had a successful drop shipping site.
  2. Thanks Kersplosh. Medusa I have now found the aforementioned thread with my post deleted. Looking forward to your reason why.
  3. Thank you for your response. I didn't say my thread about where it had gone had been removed, I said it had been closed. However, I still can't see the thread with my initial posting so I am assuming it has been removed. I am still waiting for a response as to why. I am still also happy for you to remove my account.
  4. I must admit I haven't been on the forum for ages. Came back tonight to see if there was some news on something I'd heard about earlier in the day, but a post caught my eye and I posted a response. Within the blink of an eye the whole thread had disappeared. (Believe me my post really wasn't that contentious, even though I was disputing the OPs situation). I then started a thread about it's disappearance and it was closed down within less than a minute. It seems that freedom of speech doesn't exist any more on SF. I will be happy for them to delete my account if and when they respond to my query.
  5. I have just posted on a dubious thread and not only has my post disappeared but the whole thread. What's going on???
  6. Mmm, you would say it was good -it's your stall, isn't it. Good luck, it's a good idea and probably a welcome addition to the park, but please remember self praise is no recommendation.
  7. I must be hard to please. All I saw was a load of tombola stalls and not much else.
  8. Looking through your other posts it would seem you do quite well on the benefits you receive. You've bought an ipod touch, you have a phone you are selling for over £200 and a laptop for sale too. Do you really think it is right that working people are effectively buying these for you out of the benefits you receive from our taxes? They are hardly essentials. If you can afford these then you are getting far too much in handouts.
  9. Hi, I'm sure there will be plenty who would do a swap (myself included). I don't think there is a problem using other people's vouchers but wouldn't you need their fob to go with it? Might be wrong - if so let me know.
  10. To be honest it's nice to have a restaurant that doesn't cater for kids. I like the fact it's aimed at adults and would have thought the reason they don't have crayons/pens is because that isn't the market they are aiming for. I love the food but am sure the portion sizes are getting smaller each time I go. Service can be slow and we've occasionally had a less than fantastic meal, but it's still a favourite of mine.
  11. We used our voucher for Bar 360 on a Saturday night no problem. The only problem we had was the 'Champagne' cocktail was vile. Cocktails we have had using the Olive and Bar 23 vouchers have been fantastic. Bar 360 was peach syrup with a bottle of the cheapest fizz imaginable added to the jug. It was so bad we left half of it. You certainly couldn't class it as a cocktail, unlike the other two bars which were great tasting, properly made cocktails.
  12. Let me try to explain it simply. We understand - we aren't stupid. We don't care - we are getting a good deal. Weston Park don't care about the use of the name 'Charity' - they are getting a good deal. You do care - you have too much time on your hands. Buy one - enjoy yourself. If you can.
  13. I can understand you not wanting to build his hopes up. You are quite right, it is difficult to get into a well performing school, but sometimes you strike lucky and they have spaces available.
  14. But that isn't the same as telling him he can't go to a school outside his catchment area. Out of interest, are you in school administration or a teaching assistant?
  15. If a school has a place it has to offer it to a child regardless of whether they are in catchment or not. If you can't get in a good school it's because they are oversubscribed, not because you are out of catchment.
