  1. See..... http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/40870597 Now the inmates won't be paying to repair it will they?
  2. How much were interest rates in the late 70s and 80s. 15% at their max. Labour made borrowing too cheap & failed to put regulation in place!
  3. and what did Labour do in 13 years to re-nationalise our industries.....but it could find the money to bail the bankers out!!!!
  4. No I mean they got us into the recession! The educated idiots (that are bankers) leant money to people who couldn't afford it, & the educated idiots who oversaw it (the government) failed to regulate it! Aren't interest rate rises designed to stop people who can't afford to borrow money from....well borrowing money.....an idea lost on Labour it seems!
  5. No and they signed us up to this without our consent...... http://europa.eu/lisbon_treaty/glance/index_en.htm Delegating our powers to other less stable economies!
  6. They did they introduced tution fees & started taxing pensions...after encouraging people to save for their old age! Yet again hitting the working classes right where it hurts! Forgetting it was the working class unionists that set up their party in the first place!!!!
  7. Must be a price worth paying? Labour could afford to sell £10.5 billion of gold reserves in a slump for £3.5 billion against the advice of their advisors....so £1.4 billion is a drop in the ocean!
  8. Proof that crack pots like you keep increasing the tax burden on honest people.... http://www.channel4.com/news/severe-damage-as-officers-battle-sussex-prison-riot Please can this increase in tax, to cover the repairs, come from the portions of society that feel that prisoners are hard done too....i.e. not me! Get rid of open prisons & come down tough on them!
  9. I would suggest trying a site like broadband speed checker http://www.broadbandspeedchecker.co.uk/ & see what speed you are getting exactly. Then buy a new single line filter & go around the house to each socket replacing each one in turn & rechecking your speed on the site. Remember every phone line socket in the house needs one of these.....used socket or not http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ADSL-Broadband-Micro-Filter-/280610185741?pt=UK_Computing_CablesConnectors_RL&hash=item4155aba20d If no increase in speed is seen or a less fluctuating needle on the speed checker, move onto the next socket. If you see an increase don't do anymore....leave the new filter in that socket Basically it could be a duff line filter & trying to find out which one it is can be a pain but using the site & measuring actual speed or quality of down load (i.e the needle is not bouncing all over the place on the speed checker) can help find the problem. Usually tripping out problems can be a symptom of interference on the line. Line filters & i-plates are designed to remove this. I am on Sky & found an i-plate helped no end & your modem cable / router doesn't have to be plugged directly into it. It helps the signal quality into the house as a whole. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Genuine-BT-I-Plate-Interstitial-Plate-iPlate-/220640491582?pt=UK_Computing_Networking_SM&hash=item335f32b83e
  10. Rather than blaming the 40 year old generation you should start looking to place the blame somewhere else.....I'll give you a clue..... 1. All the 'investment bankers' who made dodgy decisions lending money (mortgages) to people who could not pay it back, and lets not forget the 'flippers' who were borrowing money to make a quick buck on property before the first payment on the debt was was even made. Most of the people who lent all this money were not bank tellers....they were educated people in bank management with university DEGREES! 2. The people who regulated the bankers i.e the government (most legal or accountancy based professionals) / accountancy companies / auditors are all educated people usually requiring membership of professional bodies after reaching a standard usually obtained via a minimum of a university education.i.e DEGREES. To recap the educated bankers lent money to people who could not afford it, & the educated regulators failed to spot there was a problem. See a common problem here.........university educated but morally challanged people. If you think that an education at university is the way to 'get on' well heaven help you! That is just a continuing 'con' by the Labour party started by the Conservatives. In the 80s to reduce unemployment figures it was 'incapacity benefit' used as a way of reducing unemplyment figures...the last administration used 'education' to try to keep numbers off the unemployment figures. Vocational courses can offer just as much reward if the right one is chosen.
  11. Service station at bottom of Upper Albert Rd used to be a Nissan Specialist......not sure if they are anymore? Think it's called Meersbrook service station. As for difficulty on fitting part....."Ball joint" is a generic term to cover a multitude of parts that need movement with resistance in multi-directions. You may have to be a little more specific if you are to gain any interest & get an answer! Is it the track rod end (ball joints) on the steering rack....or the bottom (ball joints) on the suspension track control arm / wishbone?
  12. I think it's you who doesn't live in the real world tbh!!!!! What the hell does a bus being locked or not have to do with it? It doesn't belong to the scote who let the handbrake off, so he should not be encroaching in the busses interior.... end of! It's the line of thinking that you are putting forward that has made this country an utter nighmare to live in! Do-gooders are ruining it.....and it's about time the real culprits are made responsible for their actions! If we take the line of thinking you are putting forward...the first flake of snow & the busses will be off for fear of this happening again......and towns and cities will properly grind to a halt...jobs will be lost...all because of irrational thinking! Think about it for a moment....say you are smoking a fag...you get to the end & stub it in an ashtray. It's not quite gone out. Some young scrote picks it up & throws it at someone who sets on fire (quite easy say wearing hairspray / perfume / aftershave) & is badly burned. In your world you are saying it is the smokers fault......IT'S NOT..... it was in the ash tray minding it's own business until it was thrown by the third party. It's the 3rd parties fault end of!!! Don't get me wrong it's not the womans fault that her wall has been destroyed....but i firmly believe that it isn't Firsts either. It's the mindless idiot who let the handbrake off. Now if the police don't know who this then we have a problem with our system of law & order......if the idiot hasn't the means to pay then we have a problem with our government & courts system. Now thats another arguement!
  13. I've had both a Subaru Impreza & a Legacy & would highly recommend them. The build quality is excellent, although service costs are a bit expensive along with the parts......but you have to ask yourself what cost reliabilty & useability whatever the weather. I've driven mine with snow upto the door bottoms on standard tyres.....excellent!!!! MPG is rubbish though.....go for the diesel if you can afford it.....it's supposed to be excellent. Never ever let me down & the Legacy had 120,000 miles on it when i bought it & the engine was as dry as a bone.....no oil leaks. Service history / receipts are the key.
