  1. Hi, geotom. I have since got the Electrical Service Certificate, it cost quite a bit but the job's done and it passed with flying colours. I emailed both South Yorkshire Caravans and Rotherham Caravans in the hope they could do the job, but no reply. All's well that ends well. I intend changing my insurers when renewal time gets closer. (if I can get a cheaper quote).
  2. Hi, Allen thanks for your reply. Yes I 've thought of that, but it's not financially viable at this time. Thanks all the same. Regards, Ray.
  3. Hi, I have installed a electric hook up (wiring & sockets etc 240v) My insurers require a 'Electric Safety Certificate' as it is a self build conversion unknown to myself at the time. Not all insures require this document (I 've dropped unlucky in finding one that does) However, I'm having problems finding a electrician who will do the job. I 've electronically tested the system and according to the read out all is ok. Can any body help please, my insurers keep purging me for the document, I keep telling them I can't find a qualified electrician who will do the job and give me the document to give to my insurers. Regards, Ray.
  4. I agree, Radio Sheffield's in need of a good clear out and I'd start with Roney Robinson. If ever a bloke wanted 'pensioning off' it's him, he's well past his sell by date. What a lush, well he keeps saying he's luscious anyway.
  5. Looking to purchase one of the above, or maybe a Ford Transit 'Jumbo' LWB., or Iveco 'Daily'. All long bodied and around the £12,000 / £15,000 mark. Any advice please ?
  6. Hi prioryx, The only 'Bug Hut' I can remember was the picture house on West Bar called the Don, further along towards Owlerton on Shalesmoor was another 'cinema house' called the 'Roscoe' or 'Ranch House' as we called it. Great memories ! At that time I used to live at the top end of Woodside Lane, Pitsmoor (40's & 50's) went to Firs Hill and Burngreave schools until the end of '56. Regards, Ray (braindeadtwit) Marsden.
