  1. Vauxhall Corsa VXR - white with grey alloys - yr62 pxo stolen this morning from Eckington. Police think its likely to be in Sheffield or Rotherham. If you see this car please let the police know. Thank you.
  2. Hi, Anyone free Sunday 16th Sept? Need a car for about 3hours. Hotel to wedding to reception are all five minute journeys in Sheffield city centre. Anyone that could help please pm me. Thank you, Lynsey
  3. Try Gavin at Horizon... I passed with him first time with only 4 minors. Teaches to a really high standard. Call 07894 441630
  4. Hi learners, I passed my test a couple of weeks ago, first time of trying with only 4 minors... If you want to learn to drive to a really high standard and not just scrape through your test, call Gavin at Horizon... 07894441630... Think he's also still doing discount for SF users! Good luck, Lynsey
  5. was sat there playing a little late night Xbox, and the next thing i know the TV almost falls off its stand... im at Riverside in the city centre. USGS places the Epicentre somewhere south of Hull. http://pasadena.wr.usgs.gov/shake/ous/STORE/X2008nyae/ciim_display.html
  6. Oh its great, apart from the fact that i live in Riverside Exchange (Inside the Ring Road) and will now have to go up the parkway to come back down to cross the wicker to get to where i live, otherwise get a £60 fine if i go the old way via LadysBridge and castlegate. Thanks very much Sheffield Council - i really appreciate you adding an extra half mile to my journey every time i want to come home. why not have the new bus gate allowing access to those of us who live just beyond it? no that would be too sensible for the thick ******* from the council.
  7. i checked and there is no CCTV that will have caught it, besides, it was probably too dark for it to show up anyway.. thanks to those for the link to pepipoo - will take a look
  8. Last night on a quick trip to Tesco to pick up some beers for the evening, i was pulled over by the Police - the reason being that the Officer said i wasnt wearing my seatbelt - when in actual fact i was - as i always do... this happenned on Saturday night at the Roundabout on WestBar heading away from the courts at about 8:50PM i tried to protest my innocence but she wouldnt hear it - and wrote me up a fixed penaltry charge - its not that paying £30 is that much of a bother, but im just so p155ed off that i was given a penalty for something i didnt do... theres no point taking it to court as it will be her word against mine - and i know who will lose.. is there anything else i can do to protest this out of sheer principle? Dunno how the hell she could even see to say whether i was or wasnt wearing it anyway - as they were on my passenger side, half a car length back, and it was dark - how the hell would they be able to see that? what would you do? and has anyone else had the same thing happen to them?
  9. My Fiancee works in Clarks in Orchard Square and sold 2 pairs of shoes to Michael Ball today.
  10. So someone thinks its funny to park in the space i pay 45 quid a month for at riverside exchange and then get a bunch of mates to lift my car out of the way when i justifyably box you in? shouldnt have been parking in my space in the first place, and all you had to do was ask me to move so you could get out of my space !!! some people are unbelivevably stupid, ignorant F**kwits !
  11. There is a car park which i used to use - behind the Swim Inn on West Street... turn down Cavendish St and the car park entrance is bout half way doen on right.... theres always a bloke / older lady on the car park watching over cars and taking money... costs £3.50 per day / £2 on Saturdays - think they do a monthly deal as well... much cheaper than any other parking in the city centre - unless you rent a private space...
  12. Do it yaself ya lazy git.... nah, just kiddin - we moved into a 2nd floor flat this weekend, and im Cream Crackered from shoving 2 sofa's up 4 lots of stairs, as they wouldnt fit in't lift...
  13. moving house this weekend - need a van rental from tomorrow afternoon to monday 8am... - need a transit swb size van i know theres loads of threads on here - but they havent been useful to me... most recent one bangs on about enterprise being great - but they want 154 quid !!! any more suggestions please?? the best i found so far is europecar4vans.co.uk - £87 for the weekend
  14. depends where abouts in Dronny.... the 253 runs from just up the road into Sheff...
  15. I put this post on the computing forum, but had no response, so im posting here for a wider audience... Anyone live at Riverside Exchange ? Do they have a Broadband network on site? or do you have to sign up to an ISP via DSL ? if there is a network provided, is it wireless or plug-in? who provides it and how much? what are the speeds/limits etc? can anyone help with this? Im moving into Foster at Riverside Exchange in a few weeks, and need to know what the set-up is... any info would be appreciated....
