  1. The sawmills in Ecclesall Woods (Abbey Lane Entrance) used to sell them, I haven't been past there in a while so cant confirm if they still are
  2. I had an issue just after Christmas with someone parking there car across my drive and leaving the car overnight, it happened on quite a few occasions so on one particular night I rang the 101 number and within the hour a PCSO came to my house and said that they had been to the house where the car was registered (just around the corner from me) and a relative of the owner came to move the car as the owner wasn't at home? Anyway the police reacted very quickly and the car moved and hasnt been back since. Turns out that the owner of the car was leaving her car on my road getting picked up by her lover so Ive been told.
  3. I bought a large bag of mealworms and a large bag of sunflowers kernels yesterday 99p each from B&M

  6. If you read my quote properly I did mention that there were NO notices on the bus stops 'the week PRIOR to the closure' IE LAST week!!! I agree there are notices on the bus stops THIS week but NONE were there last week!!
  7. Oh so I realise now that I should look at this website EVERY day just to check I can catch the 52/52a???? ---------- Post added 09-11-2017 at 11:15 ---------- All the closure notices were on Handsworth Road towards the roundabout/Asda none were placed towards the Darnall end of the bus route?? I did not see any notices on any bus stops below the White Rose the week prior to the closure and after speaking to others they saw none either ?? ---------- Post added 09-11-2017 at 11:16 ---------- All the closure notices were on Handsworth Road towards the roundabout/Asda none were placed towards the Darnall end of the bus route?? I did not see any notices on any bus stops below the White Rose the week prior to the closure and after speaking to others they saw none either ?? ---------- Post added 09-11-2017 at 11:17 ---------- A suitable time to avoid disruption would be to finish before 6am ---------- Post added 09-11-2017 at 11:25 ---------- Item 1 and 2 - All the closure notices were on Handsworth Road towards the roundabout/Asda none were placed towards the Darnall end of the bus route?? I did not see any notices on any bus stops below the White Rose the week prior to the closure and after speaking to others they saw none either ?? Item 4 - If I was to take the 'downhill' route it would have meant walking through Darnall at 6.15am in the dark- and as a lone female and due to recent criminal activities South Yorkshire Police have stressed this as not advisable- would you want your Mother/Daughter/Wife walking around Darnall at that time of the day and possibly be the victim of a mugging or sexual related attack???
  8. Has anyone else been affected by the bus route diversion at Handsworth between 7pm and 7am due to the road resurfacing works on Handsworth Road? Ended up on a 45 minute almost 3 mile diversion round Richmond/Woodthorpe and Prince of Wales road this morning and late for work 1) why was this not advertised at the affected bus stops in advance i.e a week before the closure/diversion 2) why was this not advertised on the buses in advance i.e a week before the closure/diversion 3) why on earth has a road closure on a very busy road been allowed between 7pm and 7am - do the authorities not realise that not everyone works 9-5 or like them are on flexi time therefore people do have to catch a bus before the road closure/diversion ends? 4) not everyone is capable of walking a 40 minute walk up hill to catch the bus at a suitable stop to avoid the diversion Once again a very poor collaboration between the transport executive and the local authorities on this
  9. Mr Bailey left to pursue his music career with the 80s band Thompson Twins
  10. Well said - I get fed up with the negativity of some people on here, I'm so glad that the building is being used for a new business rather than being left derelict like the old Coop building
  11. Did I say that the 'bar mentioned earlier' was the Rock bar that could be causing the Gossip??? There are other Rock Bars in Sheffield
  12. A lot of work seems to be going on at the old Primark building (previously the C&A building) does anyone know if this is in preparation for a new occupant??
  13. Brilliant Thanks. See you next Saturday ---------- Post added 09-09-2017 at 12:09 ---------- It seems to me that there's 'gossip' coming from maybe a rival rock bar that the Yorkshireman is closed to attract the 'publess' customers to their premises?
  14. I've been told today that as of last weekend The Yorkshireman is closed for 5 weeks due to the license. ....is this true? We were hoping to go there next weekend?
