  1. "Cream leather sofa" sounds delightful. Is your friend fond of laminate flooring and stencil decoration as well by any chance?
  2. Closed due to lack of interest from punters and lack of innovation from company. Will re-open as something unremarkable.
  3. I think the Queen has been very astute by keeping herself above public opinion. She will not bow to our whims... Great to think that no matter how much we debate her suitability/relevance in our world, she will remain unmoved. Wish the same could be said of her 1st child!!
  4. Yes.\ I remember this man. I used to see him on West Street a lot a couple of years ago. Does any-one know who I mean by 'The Crying Woman'? Often seen striding down division street, wailing at top pitch, sometimes in bare feet, sometimes with stripey pop socks on?
  5. Think of the Catholic Church as a global organisation similar to other multinational corporations: (McDonalds/Starbucks/Shell etc). They have just appointed a new CEO. They will be like any other multinational... How can we exert more influence, how can we sell to more people? How can we grow the business, how many subscribers do we have?
  6. The classics i.e sex/drugs/rock'n'roll...
  7. Oh, Ok. Thank you Kristian. I've been there and it wasn't nice. (But I deserved it). There are other more adictive and more harmful things in the world I think.
  8. I think they are a sit-in KFC with a £10 surcharge!!!! Personally I like the old school eateries on West Street: Que Tal? K'Pasa and Pizza Violante. But you pay a little more.
  9. I sometimes get insomnia and the forum is addictive when there's no good telly on. Can anyone tell me what 'flamed' means???
  10. Just to let you know to watch out for 'Free Mini' offers and other pyramid selling techniques that have popped up recently. I've read 2 today on the Forum that seem to have been taken off by the Moderators. Thank god! Free Mini i-pods? Nothing is ever that easy!!! I've had a look at their site and it's awful. They ask you to provide all your friend's e-mail addresses. Also watch out for this technique - espc on the Forum: THIS IS A QUOTE FROM THEIR SITE AND I HAVE DELIBERATELY STARRED OUT THE ADDRESS TO PREVENT A LINK "Alternatively, you might prefer a snazzy image to tell your friends about **********.co.uk with! We've come up with some you can post in forum signatures, on a website, or anywhere that takes your fancy. Simply copy the pre-prepared HTML code below, and insert it into your website."
  11. I've been living in Sheffield for a few years now and feel very much part of the place. The city centre is a fascinating place to be. Sheffielders are friendly, sociable, salt of the earth types in the main. I've always felt welcome here. I chose to make this city my home and I don't regret it one bit.
  12. Oh, and by the way: Things are never as bad as they seem... I mean there we were having a deep discussion about the last couple of years in Sheffield and how things never quite work out the way you expect... And we were chatting/reminiscing/looking forward... and suddenly there we were dancing!!! To Madonna 'Like a Prayer', and without a hint of irony in our bodies! What fun, eh? Now that's a gay night!
  13. I've just remembered talking to a few of the LGBT at Climax on Friday night. Believe me I understand why you've stopped going to the Harley for post meeting drinks. Hope to see you guys soon. Don't be strangers!!!!
  14. The Gay scene is alive and well in Sheffield. It was soo good to be back at Climax tonight and to see so many old friends there! Viva Climax! (30th July).
  15. I think the reason some people looked embarrased or confused at the end was because a lot of the people there had no idea this was going to happen. Surely in that way it was very spontaneous? Not a flashmob in the pure sense of the term but surely better to be there enjoying it and taking part rather than sitting at home being critical???
