Just come back on the Forum Well spotted PapaLazarou, that lad was a good player ! Wish we could ! Lot of Blades on social media commenting on the lack of transfer action at Sheffield 2.
-
I’m pretty sure you could afford a couple of the Salford squad. And Jason MacAteer.
-
He did well! He’s 53 years old now.
-
A hat trick for the lad we had on loan playing for Man City v Salford in the FA Cup True the opposition was weak, if only we could afford such players !

What's with the negative waves? Think positive and it'll happen👍😂 How can you tell that instead of watching the Blades harshing my vibes I preferred to watch Kelly's Heroes and listen to Oddballs excellent philosophy? -
January transfers 2025

I’m surprised we’re getting BBD (if we are), you’d think a new manager would want to look at all his players before releasing one to a team at the top of the. Championship are desperate to sign. He was superb for us last season, good age as well. Hope we sign him permanently. -
Another year passes and my dream of FA Cup final victory at Wembley is kicked down the road again. Arf Arf

Quite frankly United are better off out of the fa cup if they have desires on promotion that said there were opportunities for players to shine. Once again imho Brewster should on that performance and his last few games not be in a blades shirt again. His attitude stinks and skill levels poor. Brooke’s lost his way but the youngsters were better. Davies saved a thrashing and was my mom. Anyway onwards and upwards Norwich next with a different team … hopefully utb credit to the away fans for making the journey -
A good example tonight of how United can miss the atmosphere of a usual size Bramall Lane crowd.

January transfers 2025
m williamson replied to Monkesreturn's topic in Sheffield United Football Club's Forum
Agreed, January transfers are always a bit tricky because there's no time to settle in as there is with early summer transfers. Hopefully the Ben Brereton Diaz move happens as his previous time with us should help make it reasonably seamless. He scored 6 goals in 14 appearances with us last time and will add that extra bit of pace and cutting edge we need. Replacing Harry Souttar is going to be the problem. Finding an equally dominant central defender who's available will be more than a bit difficult. -
It’s a difficult window really and has to be done right. If the goal is the PL the recruitment at this stage has to be right in the respect any recruits have to be PL capable or on short contracts. Brereton Diaz is said to have been all but agreed now and expected to be signed off in very due course. He’s been here before and we would have liked him to stay, he is desperate to perform and keep himself in international contention and he can play on the top flight based on previous. Harry Darling and Grant Hanley are both being heavily linked. I really like Darling and Hanley while perhaps uninspiring has bags of PL and international experience. A supposed ITK said to expect potentially 5 incomings, but we will have to see because I’m not sure Wilder will want to meddle to much… we do need depth however.

Blades v West Brom

The premier league is the moat lucrative in the world and the most attractive business proposition in sport. Going about business correctly can yield hundreds of millions in profit in a very short period of time. -

Assuming that Souttar’s virtually irreplaceable whoever comes in we’ll probably concede more goals without him so the forwards need to step up and bang a few more in -

Does feel that buying an English football club is the latest fashionable accoutrement fior American businessmen with a few bob to spare. Who knows where it’ll all lead. -

Having lost Souttar, Arblaster, for the season JRS, Sousa and Campbell hopefully temporarily and with a mini drop in form and a feeling that the team was running on empty I was stealing myself for another defeat. Before yesterday Watford had won 9 home matches and lost one. Credit to Wilder for rousing the lads to a much needed win. It ought to be clear to the new owners that we’re in a great league position but need signings. -

My fear at the moment is the lack of depth in the squad. We did well to get a result today considering how many first-choice players are missing (Rak-Sakyi, Souttar, Souza….). This was always the risk, and one we knew before the season began. And now it’s upon us. Fingers crossed for an active January. That said, I’d still rather have Vini & Souza back in the pitch! -

Hi Sheridan, Happy New Year to you also. Read your post, got to encourage folks to post, we don't want to go back to the mad house it was. Wednesday doing OK. Would be good for all Sheffield fans this season if Wednesday got into the play offs alongside United. Finger nails bitten down to the bone. -

Afternoon Man in Crete, good post I'm not confident about the Watford game ! Moore blows hot and cold, mostly cold Just how much will the Yanks give Chris, he needs an awful lot Feel sorry for Brewster, will he ever fulfil the potential he is supposed to have Robinson's long throws should be more productive but aren't A win against Watford and expectations will change The teams around us have surely got to have a bad run
