Two sheets of kitchen paper on the stain and a hot iron, it'll melt the grease and the paper towels will blot it up! might need to do it a few times but it works for me.

Dampen the stain and rub in a little washing up liquid (they are made to break down grease) allow to penetrate for about 20 mins then pop in the washer and wash as normal. Can be used on delicate fabrics too as I got a grease mark out of a silk blouse by doing this.

Try washing it with a handful of washing soda in with the soap. I put some in every wash thus enablieng(sp?) me to use the coldest temperature.

It is also brilliant for keeping your drains fresh, washing paintwork and a thousand other uses.

WD40 should do it.
You may need to wash it a couple of times to get rid of the WD smell.
If you choose to get rid of the smell that is, personally i love it but yeah, WD40 should do it.

For future reference, if you see a stain before you put it in the wash or whatever, a bit of washing up liquid and a dab of water on the stain will help 'set' it and will rinse out in the wash. You can put it on whenever and the soap shouldn't ruin most day to day garments (cant guarantee on items like silk or linen)

It will also work with a bit of hand soap, if the stains happen while out and about
