It is the Command Support Unit from Mansfield Road. Usually mobilised to incidents around 3 or 4 pumps-8 pumps. The satellite is used to enhance communication IIRC. The vehicle does or did have Sky and a TV installed inside so Officers in charge of the incident could constantly monitor the weather forecasts for such factors as changes in wind direction etc as well as keep in contact with MET office etc for regular updates.

Hope this helps.
