You get an amazing low view from Ringalow near the Norfolk Arms, or good closer views from Meersbrook Park or Woodseats or also from Greystones.
Skye Edge above Hyde Park terrace also has an excellent view as does near Arbourthorpe tram road or from the top of Myrtle Road.

Top of the Hallamshire Hospital or from the top of the Arts Tower. Just take the lift to the top ward floor of the hospital and go in the visiting room to get the view. I'm not sure about the Arts Tower now, but it used to be possible to take the lift up then just look out

Probably out on door moor. Got the added avantage of turning round to view Derbyshire and not seeing grubby old sheff.
Best view of Sheffield ever

Vermont
2nd best view of Sheffield is laying on a beach in Australia watching a match at bramall lane on a portable tv.

My first thoughts were Skye Edge.

from the top end of Norfolk Park you can see from the peak district, and the Roman road at Ringinglow right across to Wharncliffe, and Shirecliffe hill.

Norfolk Park
or perhaps the top of Jawbone Hill which links Grenoside to Oughtibridge - a great contract of urban/rural.

Slightly off subject, a friend asked me the other day - is there anywhere in Sheffield where you can stand and see both Bramall Lane and Hillsborough at the same time? (preferably at street level without having to get on the roof of a building)

Why would the temperature affect how good the photo would be? Anyway, as there's a strong northerly wind at the moment Meersbrook Park would be a good place to get a photo of the city centre.

Park Hill, top of Granville road, top of East Bank Road, Park Grange Road, Skye Edge, Owler Bar. Just go to the top of a hill & you should be good.

Meersbrook Park is great. I also remember getting a pretty good view years ago, near the Olive Grove pub (near east bank Road) from outside a school friend's house, think the road was called Madehurst View.

I would say the top of shirecliffe hill, though you would need to turn back and forth, as you'd not get both grounds in one glance.
