NEW WALKERS ALWAYS WELCOME

Description

This is a 4 mile walk and will take us just under two hours, and allows us to take in the splendor of the bluebells which should be in full bloom in Woolley Woods. It starts in Meadowhall Interchange car park and then onto the trans pennine trail into Woolley Woods, across a golf course, back onto the trail and back through the woods back to Meadowhall Interchange. There is a steady climb downhill invovled and the terrain varies from footpaths, bridleways, tracks to woodland paths. After the walk we'll retire to a nearby pub for a social drink.

Start time: 6:50pm

Meeting point: Meadowhall Interchange Car Park

Grid Reference: SK390913

Parking: Meadowhall Interchange Car Park

Public Transport: Bus, Tram or Train to Meadowhall

Walk Leaders: Village Owl

Additional information:

PLEASE BRING A TORCH, IF YOU DON'T HAVE ONE THE SHAMBLERS HAVE SOME WE CAN LEND OUT, THEY MAY NOT BE NEEDED, BUT BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY

Anyone who is able to offer lifts, could they put this in their post, thanks

Importamt:

Anyone joining the walk should be of a level of fitness relative to the walk being undertaken, be appropriately dressed, have suitable footwear, and have with them enough food and drink for the duration of the walk..

I'll be there, and can offer the usual lifts from the city centre.
