Like sidebottom i'm a little split. My best friend is a blade and most of my mates are, and for them I'd like them to get promoted...But I also know of a few blades that are, well not so nice...
I'm a DJ at a club in town and after one particular punter found out I was an Owls fan he spent every week just stood in front of me covered in bad fake tan giving me the old nescafe shake as it were and every week I just got the bouncers to chuck him out....
Now if I could inflict the pain of not going up on just him, then I would hope the blades stay down, but because the love I have for my friends greatly outweighs the contempt I feel for 'fake tan man' then I hope the blades do go up with us... They do deserve it after all.

I couldn't care less what they did, I went through a whole season with all Blades fans telling me they was going to finsh above us, so it's great that we finished above them.

But you got to look it at this way, can you honestly see United beating Stevenage, after that shocking display at the Lane against them, I think Stevenage will lick em. And then Agent Wilson will get the sack and to be honest I don't think he will be that arsed, cause at least he will know deep down he helped us finish second.

For all the Blades who have been lording it up over the past decade about how their the future, Wednesday's going bust etc then I hope they stay in League 1

For the decent Blades (and my grandad who's a big blade) I hope they go up

There's pro's and con's to both scenario's

After years of flack from utd fans,im happy enough to see em do another term down in L1,while its been a good crack this season,i feel its thier turn to give us a laugh.
Longer term,we need two city clubs and derbies in top flight football, its been too long since that happened already.

just about every post you make involves money and how much you can make from going here and there , have you noticed that nobody else on the entire forum does this no matter what they earn and you refer to yourself in the 3rd person as "old easty" why , that's just sad !
by the way hows the dieting going "old easty" or is it still obese for you

Blades should've been promoted ages ago without having to take part in the Play Offs ...and with Lack of Firepower and a Dodgy Keeper it'll be difficult ....Will Wembley tickets be £10 and Kids for £1 ..

I'll be hoping the blades can join us, Danny Wilson has won round the doubting Thomas's and if not for one man's perversion it would be we (Wednesday) who would be sweating. United deserve to be promoted, Sheffield needs both in the Championship and I hope Danny Wilson gets some joy after a traumatic season. Come on you Blades do it for Danny.

As I said in another thread:

I'm in two minds on this.

For all the Blades fans who have sent us congratulations, and for all my close friends who, (for reasons best known to themselves) are Blades fans I wish them the best of luck.

and yet

For all the spiteful, whingeing, hate - filled, spitting, urine throwing, can't bring themselves to say the word Owls, mardy, Blades fans, I wish them nothing but bad luck.

Realistically, if I was a Blade I'd be worried. United are on a downward slope and Stevenage seem to be on a bit of a roll. But for my mates Steve, Craig & Richard, and for the decent Blades fans out there, I say to United (possibly for the first time ever in my life) Good Luck.

Oh and by the way, to the Blades fan who's signature on here for the year that they went up was something like "thanks for the points Wednesday", I'd just like to say, " thanks for the 4 points".

Non of my Owl friends and my ex (who funnily enough I have seen quite alot over the weekend - cost me a bloody fortune Saturday night - whoever won 2nd spot bought the beer/wine and takeaway that night )) want United to go up. They say we made them suffer a few seasons ago so now it's their turn...I can't say as I blame them but

Old Pitsmoorlad can't see anything wrong in how Old Easty posts, and he's confident that Old Easty's declaring his income not only on here but on his tax return. Old Pitsmoorlad's had a good weekend results wise but has only made a couple of quid from Antonio scoring.

Just back from Exeter.

Easty, I take it that was your mini bus parked in the outdoor bus station car park just outside the town centre? I would have come over and said hello but was dashing to drop stuff off at the hotel and get off for a pre-match pint! Looked like two blokes sat in the front of the mini bus so were you with someone else who was not attending the game?

For the Owls who want us to go up (and I can't remember the last time a season had the two teams seperated by three points), thanks.

For the Owls fans who want us to serve another years sentence in League 1 , thanks for that as well! and to be honest, after all the recent years of being the cities second best, and all the stick you have taken from some people on here, or in the work place or pub, etc., I can't say I blame you for wanting to gloat for 12 months.

Interesting season as I say, not had one like this for a long time have we?

nor me ! give and take , but like this forum, most conduct banter /or try to, in a humourous manner. Blades and Owls.

Sadly there is always the odd one , who goes over the top, and will do until his fingers wear out

Hopefully the hangovers from both sets of supporters will now be wearing off, we can now look forward to the 38,000 season ticket applicants asking directions to the ticket office, best places to park and the customed part timer questions like.."whats this Madine like ?" "who is that number 4" while of course claiming to have been an Owl for life !

I for one am not so bitter, i feel the Owls have had a fantastic run, agent Wilson has done his job too....

But one thing for sure, the recent disapointments at United are nowt new ! some may even think the club is cursed with bad luck, but that makes us stronger.

I respect and feel for the genuine Owls, the one who like the BLADES in the past turned out in the very dark days. It appears the Owls kop sang the same on Saturday "where were you when we were bad" . MM got 38,000 !! Strafford begged for 18,000 and could not find them!!

I welcome the stick they rightly are giving back, not that it will ever stop me being a Blades supporter

Only had to put one numpty off here on ignore, a real sad man, but then theres always one.

So well done, i hope the Blades can join you, but we cant buy an ounce of luck at the moment, so i am not even going to bother crossing my fingers

Not bitter??

Take a look at your avatar.

And your post is filled with bitter digs at Wednesday - criticising the part time support, the ex Chairman, etc. etc.

Too right to put someone on ignore though if they've got the better of you. Although by all accounts, after the Colchester game when you opened up a 4 point gap, you singled him out for abuse. You've got to be grown up enough to take it if you give it

If you close your eyes so you can't see me, it doesn't mean I go away.

I'm still here highlighting the bitterness of your post for everyone else to see, only you can't respond (or rather aren't up to responding)

Although technically, as you say you've only put one 'numpty' on ignore, who is also a 'sad man', then tell everyone I'm on ignore, although I clearly wasn't yesterday, you've admitted to insulting me.

I belive an insulting post is a banning offence?

Be careful!!!

I'm with Frank on this one.
I'm easy going, and in real life, I have never hated anyone. I find it hard to even dislike someone. BUT....
there are some Blades in the past who've growled in my face, spit venom, given me the rods and gloated for as long as I can remember.
For them turkeys, I hope United go out of business.
For the decent Blades, (of which I know dozens) I hope they spend forever one or two places below us in whatever league we both find ourselves in.
I can banter with the good 'uns should United go up, but I can't contemplate life from the Neanderthals.
