Taxis cost around £30 from Sheffield. Last time I went for the 06:30 flight instead of getting a taxi from Sheffield I got the last train to Doncaster at 23:30 and then a taxi from doncaster train station. It meant sitting in the airport for over 6 hours and only saving around £10.

I believe you can get an airplane to Robin Hood Airport. Several a day so I believe
