Lo All!

Bit of a problem with my Belkin wireless setup!

It randomly drops the wireless connection, which is a tad annoying. Right clicking the wirless network icon and choosing "Repair" will bring the connection back, but last weekend it went silly and decided that i would have to reset the router before it would work.

I am told that a colleage of mine has had a similar problem, and it was the router that was overheating? Can anyone suggest anything else?

It is a Belkin trait, cooling can help. I know someone people have gone to such depths as taking the original case off and strapping a PC fan to the side to aid cooling.

Belkins a bit of a 'female dog' at times, what causes ours to go tits up is when the plug is taken out and yes, overheating. I know the old 'repair' trick works but often that not i use 'Intel PROset wireless' which came with it to fix the problem, i just set up a new profile and it connects again and usually works.
