I am a Chesterfield based singer songwriter and guitarist looking for versatile and unique musicians; I have a large back catalogue of material, more importantly I have a batch of new tracks ready to gig. Festival appearances are booked in for later this year so I’m now at the point where I need to put a unique line up together.
Would be very interested in hearing from string players Cello/Violin and/or double bass would be great, backing vocal ability would be a definite plus. If you are a drummer who can work outside the norm then I would love to here from you. If you are a multi instrumentalist and fancy a challenge please get in touch. I am happy to consider most instruments and styles of music, in some ways the more bizarre the better. It would be fair to say that I’m not looking for a second guitarist although if you are a multi instrumentalist who happens to play guitar I would like to hear from you.
If you search for Jellobox on the net (last band), although the tracks do not capture in anyway the direction I am now taking; it will give some idea of the recording quality I am used to putting out. This change in direction is steering my music into a predominantly acoustic genre, lyrics, rhythm and breaking the norm are high on my agenda. I’m very interested in trying different instruments on the new material to create a unique live sound.
If you are looking for a vague point of reference, think Ani Difranco i.e. Great songs, stunning lyrics, earthy vocals, unexpectedly rhythmic and no boundaries. My influences are far too many to list and to a certain degree I feel influences can be irrelevant when trying to create a unique band sound, that said if it’s metal you are looking for then you are probably looking at the wrong add. If you can let yourself become part of the music and have an open mind this could be for you.
If you are interested in trying this one out give me a shout on any of the details below.
Thanks for reading.
