NEW WALKERS ALWAYS WELCOME

Description

This is a lovely 9 mile walk taking us roughly 4.5 hours. It starts outside The Queens Arms pub in Bakewell and takes us through the show ground, past Haddon Hall, Youlgreave, thorough Over Haddon and then back along the river into Bakewell. Most of the walk is along field paths and tracks, though there are a few road walking sections and one steep section Youlgreave and Over Haddon, there will also be the possibility for mud in certain places.

Details

Start time: 10:30am

Meeting point: Opposite the Queens Arms Pub, Bridge Street, Bakewell, DE45 1DS

Refreshments: The Queens Arms pub.

Parking: Some street parking and pay and dispaly carp parks.
There is a place where you can park for free - if you come to Bakewell through Chatworth turn left immediately before the bridge and then take the first right past the entrance to the car parks and past the houses, The road turns into a lane where your able to park for free, it just leaves a short walk through the car parks to the meeting place.

Such a wonderful turnout for todays walk, through the wonderful scenery around Bakewell.

It was nice to welcome five new walkers today, we hope you enjoyed yourselves and that you will be back soon.

A nice drink in the pub, was a great way to end the day.
