I'm about to take my daughter for her first shoes as she's very close to walking and think she would like to be able to wander around outside with some help but I'm most worried about getting someone who really knows what they're doing with the fitting.

Any advice offered would be great.
Many thanks x

I've always used Kids at Clinks Meadowhall. Excellent service every time very professional.

I would recommend Clarks without a doubt. My Mum always used to take me here and now this is where I take my children.

I do buy other makes of shoes for my children now they are a bit old, but will always revert to Clarks for their main shoes.

Have you tried Clever Cloggs on Sharrowvale road, been there forever, both my 2 went there for their first shoes. Good advice and won't sell unless you need them. Or there's always The Shoe Loft in Dronfield, operate on the same basis.

Clever Cloggs are lovely, but they tend to be over-generous on the size so that you feel you get your money's worth. I'd recommend them, but not for fitting the first pair of shoes.

John Lewis have always been reliable. I thought the childrens' shoe department had disappeared when they closed the little shop, but it's just moved to the back of the first floor.
