Sheffield Forum collapsed to their heaviest defeat of the season despite a strong start. One change was made to the starting line up with Joe Neate injured, replaced by Nathan Jenkins.

Forum started strongly and were a goal up after just 5 minutes. Shane Middlebrook played a perfect ball through for winger Liam Wales to slot past the keeper after bursting into the area.

Forum continued the pressure as they look dominant in the opening stages. Forum could have doubled their advantage but Daniel Sheedys shot rattled the cross bar. Shortly after, winger Wales had to be replaced due to breathing concerns, Ashley Proctor coming on for him.

Titans soon equalised after a defensive error allowed the Titan forward through on goal. A 2nd was scored 10 minutes later when Titans were allowed too much time in the area. The ball was played into the middle with Titans scoring from a free header.

Forum struggled to get back into the game and keep playing as they started, 2 more players struggling to continue but they kept going through the first half. Unfortunately for Forum, a 3rd was added for Titans, as they broke into the area, Jenkins went in for the ball but managed to take the forward and Proctor down in the process leaving the referee no choice.

Play was delayed for a while as Proctor recieved treatment before being taken to the side. Titans despatched the penalty giving them a 3-1 half time lead and Forum left to rue the early chances.

HT: Sheffield Titans 3-1 Sheffield Forum

Half time saw Joe Appleby come on for Andy Coates due to injury whilst Ashley Proctor tried to continue for Forum. Forum struggled with pace in defence and the game fell out of Forums control.

Titans quickly scored a 4th and then it looked as though each shot Titans had would head into the back of the net. Forum had a couple of chances to grab a goal but shots were too weak to trouble the keeper. Proctor eventually had to be replaced by Philip Gill but it made to difference to the play.

Titans continued to look threatening while Forum tried to get their passing game on but never managed to get back to the way they played in the first 20 minutes.

Titans added another 4 goals as they found their shooting boots leaving Forum very dissappointed with the final result and a huge improvement needed for the next 2 games.

Forum let their heads drop after the equaliser which hasnt happened much this season and were left to wonder what could have been had Sheedys strike found the net. Titans looked very much on the back foot until the defensive error gave them new found confidence.

Next week we host Totley at home and changes to the side is very likely as Forum look to finish their home campaign strongly and set them up for the final game with Smithywood.

Team: Smith, Coates (Appleby), Baugh, Jenkins, Corker, Middlebrook, Gray, Matthews, Wales (Proctor (Gill)), Dowling, Sheedy
