I've actually just had a collection of quotes, the most reasonable one, and the one that I have gone with, put the labour at £15 an hour and a mid market turf from Sykes (find them on Google) priced at £2.30 per square meter.
The simple answer to your question is that the price depends on what is there now, how much preparation work is involved, and if you want instant turf or can wait for a few weeks and use lawn seed
If you can remove what is there now, level the area that you want to be lawn, but a box of lawn seed and throw it on by hand and keep it watered, then the cost is very little

I got mine from there, decent turf at a very good price but I put it down myself, it's actually a lot easier than it looks.
