Went to the amphitheatre to the fair on Saturday 8th Sept (from Duke St)

I was really impressed It will be a great place for music events or theatre

Are there any planned events?

It's late news now but they had Greek drama, http://sheffest.co.uk/prometheus/ and Shakespeare http://www.gbtheatrecompany.com/sheffield.html on this summer, so I'm sure they will be repeating such events next year.

My OH saw the Tempest (I think) last month and she loved it. But very few people were there. Its not promoted enough.

Also people need to buy tickets on the day rather than in advance as if its called off due to bad weather you dont get a refund.

Appart from that though its good we have it and it should be used more.

You'd think a top Google search would bring up a council page, but sadly not.

Searching their site just brings up two results for Firth Park.

I was curious and so went to the home page of Sheffield city council and then typed events in to the search box. I then clicked on the link called events in parks which then gave me another page and an option on that page to download a pdf file which lists all the events being held. I didn't bother downloading this as i thought it might run to several pages and so rang the council events team and have been told that any info will be on that pdf.
