What do I put the washer on?

Daft question but no-ones home and SF always know the answer just wondered what I put the washer on for dark clothing? Non-colourfast cotton? Thanks x

You're right, it is a bit of a daft question. Do you think everyone has the same washing machine as you? Maybe there is an instruction manual laying around in a drawer. Sorry, can't help you further.

Yes you can put dark colours on "non-fast colours"

Look on the draw and it should tell you the number or letter to use.

If you are ever in doubt, always wash at 40, thats what I tell my husband and therefore he washes on non-colourfast cotton.

Just dont wash as "whites" as they are normally hot washes and strink stuff.

i wash everything at 40, unless its delicate then i wash at 30 or handwash depending on what it says on the label.

I chuck everything in to the washing machine on the coldest wash possible including coats, jackets and suits regardless of fabric with fantastic results every time. But you'll need to check the manual or read the dial to see what's what on your washing machine.

If you chuck everything in together though, your light coloureds and whites end up grey. So try and separate the light coloured/white cotton out and wash separately.

Whatever type of clothes you're washing, put the washer on the floor for goodness sakes
