Shouldn't kids be in school? perhaps your friend needs to inform the police.

is there seriously no other descriptive information apart from 'he is foreign & his car is a red citroen'? no news on skin colour/hair colour/ height/ build/ stand out characteristics etc..?

cultural stereotypes everywhere beware, the paedo bashers are out to get you.

As my post was removed, I will say it again, these types of threads with no conclusive information should be closed, all this would/could do is incite a witch hunt for some 'foreign' guy in a red car.

I can just see it now, the paedo bashers pulling some innocent chap out of his red citroen and giving him a good beating.

How about a link to the SY Police take on these incidents. If this is genuine then the Police wouldn't mind setting the record straight

Ah, a popcorn thread, haven't had one of these for a while.

Wasn't the last suspect driving a gold Honda round Arbourthorne?

I've just seen him! Only now he's on bicycle, with a basket on the front, carrying what looks to be long sticks of bread

but seriously, if this is an actual warning some link to the SYP site or something would be helpful.

There was a similar thread about something similar at Beighton School a few months ago but I suppose it doesn't hurt to be aware if someone looks 'dodgy'

Just looked there, and guess what... there is nothing about this incident. Given how serious the police take these matters, I am surprised there is no warning or appeal on their website

Yes agreed but surely not the little ones, the older ones should know better...mind you not wanting to detract from the essence of the warning, it is best to be aware/speak to the kids etc.

The police know, we had a letter from school last week about this, but he has been seen since still hanging around school gates apparently.

What do you mean ok? comes across very confrontational, no need I'm sure.

I just meant that surely young children shouldn't be taking themselves too and from school and shouldn't be out by themselves in the day, was I wrong in some way?

No offence, but we only have the word of a few people and no actual confirmation from an authorative figure.
