What do you think they should do? You've got three months to think about it.

Have the council promote a celebrate English History and culture week, with only three months to pull it off they may struggle. The cost and time to retrain their "think tanks" to include the majority would just be too much.

We could have a "Guess how many countries have St George as Patron Saint" competition.
Or, a Morris Dancing and weak warm beer weekender.

I'm not that bothered. The Irish managed to make a big thing out of St Patrick's day, but none of the other countries of the British Isles have made much of a big deal out of their saints days (St Andrew, St David, St George).
Maybe it's because the Irish are Catholics and saints days are a big deal in their religion.

Or it's because Guinness hijacked it for marketing purposes.

Like has been put to you already Sheffield city council aren't the best at organizing things anyway and especially not at such short notice.. We have all these European markets, polish beer tents, st paddys day celebrations yet our racist council do nothing for the land there situated on and the people who were born to this fine land.
