I shall phone SCC in morning and ask if they have already been notified about the poor furry baby. Somebody is missing him/her. Thanks for messaging on here.

You couldn't have stopped if their was traffic behind you, it is so good of you to post it on here. When I contact the council in morning they will go and collect him/her and very sadly he/she will come to me. xx

I didnt see this thread and had made a new one please see below xx

Hi all,

Sorry to have to post this but sadly a black and white cat has been run over and killed. The cat has no collar on and is mostly black with a white chin, white chest and white socks it is also a very big cat and short haired. My friend found the cat in the road tonight about 7pm and has brought it to me in a cardboard box (i know this sounds odd but he knew we had phoned the council before to pick up one we found a while back) the reason for this is he didn't want to leave the cat there as a there is some very sick people out there and who knows what they may do to the poor animal and b it is on a school route so children would have been walking past the cat in the morning. I am going to ring the council in the morning to pick him/her up and hopefuly they will scan for a chip. I doubt this cat is a stray as it has a wonderful glossy brushed coat and is very clean. I'm very sorry if this is your cat but i just wanted to let people know. If you think this may be your cat and wish to have him/her back to bury please contact me by email ellen_higginbottom@hotmail.co.uk or by pm asap. once again i'm very sorry for your loss if this is your pet, Rest in peace kitty cat x

I hope its not, but it may be Bam Bam-did you say he would be scanned as he does have a chip. How might I find out if the cat is mine?

Just to let people know. The furry baby mentioned above was brought to me today I am assuming, the council promise to check for chips and detail the location found on a label which I believe is hit and miss... there was no label!! The cat was not chipped, no collar, the description as above does match the description but I can't be 100 percent .RIP kitty x
