doe's anyone remember Davy's in Fargate roasting coffee first thing in a morning? The aroma permeating through the centre of town .

Yes it was a great smell. I can't say the same about the brewery smell of hops though that used to make me feel sick.

Nothing wrong with the beer just don't like the smell of the brewing process. Still there is nothing left to smell now and that is sad.

How much I agree with you .
The process has been replaced with so many chemicals that you don't get the stink , nor so much of the sting any more .

.There was never a smell at Totley , but e-ba- gum , the beer at the Cross Scythes was good .
That reminds me of a comment of Jimmy Savile in an interview with Yorkshire Post.-Mugabe [Zimbabwe President ?] -is an ex-pat yorkshireman. Spell his name out in reverse and what do you have -e-ba-gum.
On that note from a gem. Enjoy a pint in the Cross Scythes .

The Cross is a 'bistro' type restaurant now......... but don't worry the wine will be enjoyed!
