I've noticed this too.
Mostly the ones i've seen have been up for 3 weeks now with very few new ones recently.

Perhaps they're waiting for the proper twelve-day period. It would make a surprising change.

There's usually a couple or three houses up City road, just before Manor top that are so brightly light up you can use them for sight markers to find your way home from NE Derbyshire.

Yes - I've noticed it too - a massive drop compared to previous years - seems to be about one house in twenty round our way. None of the local shops seem to have bothered and neither have half the pubs.
We'll be trimming up tomorrow - we always wait until the weekend before.

Yep, I've noticed too. The difference is very striking around where we live. It's a real shame that families feel so squeezed that they can't run to this. The kids love to see the decorations.

With-out trying to sound racist could it be that you are in a muslim community . Obviously with their religion and the fact that they do not celebrate our festive holiday their houses would not be decorated .

They are students who go home for X and make it obvius to criminals that its empty,or they re Jews and others who dont bother or they re Rigsby and similar who avoid any expenses associated with X.Many people conscious of nosy drivers now trim their rears, and leave their fronts naked.
