Hello...I recently moved into the City Centre and faced the same issue.
You will probably find that others dont use their parking space and will rent it out. This seems to cost between £60 - £75 a month for secure parking, There's always notices up where I live looking for/offering spaces.
Somone also told me about a place on Fitzwilliam Street - although that probably wouldnt be too handy for you!
