If he's on forum,Thank you.
I was so upset and looked shocking and Your kind action of taking me all the way home when you had finished your shift and were out of service I am so very grateful, I wouldn't have made it home without you and I don't know what would have happened to me.You have such a kind heart.

Great to hear about this kind of behaviour - we are so quick to complain and so slow to praise sometimes - always good to see the good guys get praised

Wow what a refreshing change a positive story about a First Bus Driver.

I think most people are quick to complain and not so quick when someone goes that extra mile.

I think the proof of that is in the tiny number of replies.
Sad really but thats modern Britain.

If you have your ticket, make sure you let first know as well.
I think the drivers get an award for going above and beyond.

These days he is more likely to get the sack for using company property
for personal reasons (out of service bus)
Not to mention the insurance issues.
But in the old days he would have been rightly congratulated

Well done to the bus driver, that was a very kind and unselfish act.

To Abbs, I hope you are okay now, it sounded as though you were upset, I hope things look better for you in the light of day.

noooo don't do that, more likely get the sack than praise. good on the driver though, as much as i'd want to help i'm not sure i'd of been able to do that, it was a big risk on the drivers part.

if this was a thread slating a bus driver it would have triple the amount of replies, it's the forum way unfortunately

Hi Abbs,

I PM'd you about this, I'm not sure if my private messages are working though...

I write for a University of Sheffield news website. Your story of the kind-hearted bus driver sounds really interesting, can you tell me a bit more about what happened? If can get in contact with both yourself and the bus driver this might make a great news story.

All the best,

Ed

I don't know, I can't really remember his face because my eyes were so bleary and I had mascara and eyeliner all down my face,it was rather distressing. But no, radio-control knew, but it was so nice of him, I wish I knew his name:l
