A really nice bloke has moved into my next door neighbours house - hes only there a few days a week. Theres a definate spark there, but we havent had a conversation as yet. The question is, do I take the bull by the horn and send him a Valentine card? I dont really chat to my neighbour as such, so I cant ask her about him. I dont even know if hes attached in any way. But if hes not it would be such a shame to not tell him that I think hes lovely. Advice needed by all you knowledgable and helpful people on the Forum please!!

Go for it! What is there to lose? The only thing that might be tricky is to get the tone right - not too slushy/gooey and not to jokey either....leave enough hints so he knows its you and you might even get a date out of it. Good luck!

Even if he's attached, or gay, or not interested in you, he's likely to be flattered by a sensitively written card. I've had a few over the years that were so well disguised that I've never worked out who they were from, and that's a shame because I would have liked to have met the senders and, if nothing else, thanked them for making my day a little brighter.
So my advice would be to go for it, and to do it sensitively (not looking like a stalker is a good thing!) but to leave enough clues that he can follow to find you- if only to thank you for the compliment you paid him.

Ok - I've just been out and bought the card! It says "guess who?" and has a pair of pouting lips on the front (as if blowing a kiss!) - nothing too mushy or rude!
I thought of giving him a clue as to who sent it and then putting my mobile number at the bottom. What d'ya think? Too forward? Not forward enough?
Now the final question.....Who do i address it to?!! Given that I dont actually know his name!! I do, however know what car he drives! Do I address it to "the driver of the blue Peugeot" ??!! What?!!

Go for it Elly. I wish more girls would tell blokes how they feel more often, then blokes like me wouldn't be left wondering for months on end
