We've made many genuine friends.I genuinely believe that the white man in Africa should stay out of politics, we certainly don't understand how it works.
My home town here is Bulawayo. Harare? you can keep it! Byo still has that 50's feel to it. The truest statement I ever heard was 'Zimbabweans have the biggest smiles in Africa' How true! Whatever their problems they still smile and are polite. Zimbabweans know how to 'make a plan'.
I lived in Salisbury 1968 to 1977 , the reason i left it was about to become Zimbabwe you'r welcome to it best of luck to you.

N.E. Florida, love the sunshine and the people but not the politics. It's terrible to see the poverty in this country, families trying to live in single wides which are just cheap wooden boxes stapled together. I know I sound negative but this country could do much better if the people got their act together and helped each other but it's dog eat dog. There is way too much religion. I miss Spain, I lived there for 15 years, Costa Del Sol but nobody has any money so I can't sell up and go back but I'm seriously thinking of just leaving and forget about the stuff.

Having been in the Army for 25 years I've seen a lot of the world.
